Introduction

The Depusheng M6 is a portable 6-channel DJ mixer designed for various audio applications, including live streaming, podcasting, computer recording, and karaoke. It features a new generation digital DSP audio processing chip, 48V phantom power, HI-Z and PAD switches, 256 digital effects, and versatile connectivity options including USB, flash reader, and Bluetooth.

Setup

Powering the Mixer

The Depusheng M6 mixer requires a 5V-2A power source. It can be powered via a power adapter, a power bank, or directly from a computer using the provided USB-C cable. Please note that a power adapter or power bank is not included.

Connecting Devices

The M6 mixer supports a variety of input and output connections:

Microphones: Connect XLR microphones to the MIC/LINE inputs.
Instruments: Connect instruments like guitars or electronic organs to the MIC/LINE inputs.
Headphones: Use the 3.5mm headphone jack for monitoring.
External Audio Devices: Connect cell phones or other audio devices via the 3.5 stereo input lines.
Speakers/Amplifiers: Connect active speakers or power amplifiers to the MAIN OUT XLR-3 stereo outputs.
Computer: Connect to a computer via USB for recording or playback.
USB Flash Drive: Insert a USB flash drive for MP3/WMA music playback.

Operating Instructions

Input Controls

48V Phantom Power: Activate this switch for condenser microphones that require phantom power. A dedicated indicator light will illuminate.

HI-Z Switch: Use this switch to match the impedance of instruments like guitars and basses, ensuring optimal signal quality.
PAD Fixed-Value Attenuation Key: This button attenuates the input acoustic signal, useful for preventing clipping from high-level inputs.
Input Signal Indicator: LED indicators provide a visual representation of the input sound level, helping to prevent distortion.
Gain Control: Adjusts the input sensitivity for each channel.
Three-Band Equalization (HIGH, MID, LOW): Adjust the treble, midrange, and bass frequencies for each channel to shape the sound.
FX Reverb Effect Control Knob: Controls the amount of effect applied to each channel.
Level Control: Adjusts the output level for each individual channel.

Digital Effects

The M6 mixer includes 256 built-in professional reverberation effects. Use the dedicated knob and display to select and apply various effects such as Echo, Reverb, Voice, Wah, and more. These effects enhance the sound for different occasions and recording needs.

Media Playback and Recording

USB Flash Drive Playback: Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port. The mixer will automatically switch to USB flash drive mode, allowing you to play MP3/WMA files. Use the transport controls (play/pause, skip tracks) on the mixer.

Bluetooth Connectivity: Press the MODE button to switch to Bluetooth mode. Pair your Bluetooth device (e.g., smartphone) with the mixer to stream audio wirelessly.

Computer Recording: Connect the mixer to your computer via a USB data cable. The built-in sound card allows for direct recording, suitable for live broadcasts or professional PC recording.

Output Controls

USB Level: Controls the output level of the USB audio signal.
Main Level: Controls the overall main output level of the mixer.
Phone Level: Adjusts the volume for the headphone output.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Depusheng M6 DJ mixer, follow these maintenance guidelines:

Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the mixer. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the surface or internal components.
Storage: Store the mixer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
Handling: Handle the mixer with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts, which can damage internal circuitry or external controls.

Troubleshooting

Test with a different microphone if possible.
Distorted sound	Input signal too high (clipping). Output level too high. Faulty cables or connections.	Reduce input Gain or activate PAD switch for high-level signals. Lower Main Level or individual channel Level. Check and replace any damaged cables.
Bluetooth not connecting	Mixer not in Bluetooth mode. Device not in pairing mode or too far. Interference.	Press MODE button until "bt" appears on the display. Ensure your device's Bluetooth is on and in pairing mode, and move closer to the mixer. Minimize other wireless devices nearby.
