2. Important Safety Information
WARNING: Read, understand, and follow all instructions and warnings provided in this manual before using this product. Failure to do so may result in property damage, serious injury, or death. Keep this manual for future reference.
- Never exceed the rated capacity: The floor jack and jack stands are rated for 2 tons (4,000 lbs) each. Do not attempt to lift or support loads heavier than this capacity.
- Use on hard, level surface: Always operate the jack and place jack stands on a hard, level surface capable of supporting the load. Avoid soft ground, asphalt, or uneven surfaces.
- Chock wheels: Before lifting, always chock the wheels that are not being lifted to prevent unintended movement of the vehicle.
- Lift only on vehicle manufacturer's recommended lift points: Consult your vehicle's owner's manual for proper lifting points.
- Use jack stands for support: The hydraulic floor jack is a lifting device only. Immediately after lifting, transfer the load to appropriately rated jack stands. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a hydraulic jack.
- Center the load: Ensure the load is centered on the jack saddle and jack stand saddles. Off-center loads can cause instability.
- Integrated overload protection: The floor jack is equipped with an integrated overload protection valve to prevent lifting items beyond its capacity. Do not attempt to bypass or modify this safety feature.
- Keep clear: Keep hands, feet, and other body parts clear of moving parts and pinch points during operation.
- Inspect before each use: Before each use, inspect the jack and jack stands for any signs of damage, leaks, or wear. Do not use if damaged.
- Proper storage: Store the jack and jack stands in a clean, dry place, away from moisture and corrosive materials.

4. Setup and Preparation
4.1. Floor Jack Preparation
- Assemble Handle: Insert the handle into the handle socket on the floor jack. Secure it according to the manufacturer's instructions (if applicable, some handles are two-piece).
- Purge Air (Bleeding): Before first use, or if the jack has been stored for a long time, it may be necessary to purge air from the hydraulic system.
- Turn the release valve counter-clockwise one full turn to open it.
- Pump the handle rapidly 10-15 times without a load.
- Turn the release valve clockwise to close it. The jack should now operate smoothly.
- Check Hydraulic Fluid: Ensure the hydraulic fluid level is adequate. Refer to the maintenance section for details on checking and refilling fluid.
4.2. Jack Stand Preparation
The jack stands are ready for use out of the box. Familiarize yourself with the height adjustment mechanism:
- To adjust height, lift the handle on the ratchet bar and slide the bar to the desired height.
- Ensure the ratchet bar is fully engaged in the base's teeth before placing any load.

5. Operating Instructions
Always follow the safety guidelines in Section 2 before proceeding.
5.1. Lifting a Vehicle with the Floor Jack
- Prepare Vehicle: Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and place the transmission in "Park" (automatic) or a low gear (manual). Chock the wheels that will remain on the ground.
- Position Jack: Locate the vehicle manufacturer's recommended lifting point. Position the floor jack so its saddle is directly under this point. Ensure the load will be centered on the saddle.
- Raise Vehicle: Turn the release valve clockwise until it is firmly closed. Pump the jack handle up and down to raise the vehicle to the desired height. Do not raise the vehicle higher than necessary.
- Insert Jack Stands: Once the vehicle is lifted, immediately place jack stands under the vehicle's frame or other manufacturer-specified support points, adjacent to the jack. Adjust the jack stands to the appropriate height, ensuring the ratchet bar is fully engaged.
- Lower onto Jack Stands: Slowly turn the release valve counter-clockwise to gradually lower the vehicle onto the jack stands. Ensure the vehicle is securely seated on both jack stands before removing the floor jack.
- Remove Jack: Once the vehicle is safely supported by the jack stands, remove the floor jack.

Figure 5: Close-up of the Floor Jack Saddle. This image shows the circular saddle where the vehicle's lifting point should be placed.
5.2. Lowering a Vehicle
- Position Jack: Place the floor jack saddle under the vehicle's lifting point, ensuring it is centered.
- Lift Slightly: Turn the release valve clockwise to close it, then pump the jack handle a few times to lift the vehicle slightly off the jack stands.
- Remove Jack Stands: Carefully remove the jack stands from under the vehicle.
- Lower Vehicle: Slowly turn the release valve counter-clockwise to gradually lower the vehicle to the ground. Once fully lowered, remove the floor jack and wheel chocks.
6. Maintenance
6.1. General Maintenance
- Cleaning: Keep the jack and jack stands clean. Wipe off any oil, grease, or dirt after each use.
- Lubrication: Periodically lubricate moving parts (e.g., pivot points, wheels) with light machine oil.
- Storage: Store the jack in a fully lowered position in a clean, dry area. Store jack stands in a dry area.
6.2. Hydraulic Fluid Check and Refill (Floor Jack)
Check the hydraulic fluid level every three months or if the jack's performance degrades.
- Position the jack on a level surface and fully lower it.
- Locate and remove the oil filler plug (usually a rubber stopper).
- The fluid level should be just below the filler hole. If low, add high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Do not use brake fluid or motor oil.
- Replace the filler plug.
- Purge any air from the system as described in Section 4.1.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Jack will not lift load. | Release valve open; Low hydraulic fluid; Air in system; Overload. | Close release valve; Check fluid level and refill; Purge air from system; Reduce load (do not exceed capacity). |
| Jack lifts slowly or erratically. | Low hydraulic fluid; Air in system. | Check fluid level and refill; Purge air from system. |
| Jack will not hold load / drifts down. | Release valve not fully closed; Internal seal leak; Air in system. | Ensure release valve is fully closed; Purge air from system; If problem persists, discontinue use and contact customer support. |
| Jack stands slip or are unstable. | Uneven surface; Load not centered; Ratchet bar not fully engaged. | Ensure use on hard, level surface; Re-position load; Ensure ratchet bar is fully engaged. |
