6. Maintenance

The ONCCY EDB1-63 MCB requires minimal maintenance. Regular inspections are recommended to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • Visual Inspection: Periodically check the circuit breaker for any signs of physical damage, discoloration, or loose connections.
  • Cleaning: If necessary, gently clean the exterior of the circuit breaker with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.
  • Connection Check: Ensure all terminal connections remain tight. Re-tighten if any looseness is detected.

Note: Do not attempt to open or repair the circuit breaker. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Circuit breaker trips frequently.Overload in the circuit, short circuit, or faulty appliance.
  • Reduce the load on the circuit.
  • Inspect wiring for short circuits.
  • Check connected appliances for faults.
  • If the issue persists, consult a qualified electrician.
Circuit breaker does not reset.Persistent overload or short circuit, internal fault.
  • Ensure the cause of the trip (overload/short circuit) has been resolved.
  • If it still doesn't reset, the breaker may be faulty and require replacement.
Circuit breaker feels hot.Overload, loose connections, or internal fault.
  • Immediately disconnect power.
  • Check for overloads and loose wiring.
  • Do not re-energize until the cause is identified and corrected by a qualified professional.
