5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Placement

Place the UPS on a flat, stable surface in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated indoor environment. Avoid areas with excessive dust, humidity, or extreme temperatures. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the UPS for proper airflow.

5.2 Connecting Devices

1. Connect the UPS power cable to a grounded wall outlet.
2. Connect your computer, monitor, and other essential peripherals (up to 3 devices) to the output sockets on the rear panel of the UPS.
3. Ensure all connections are secure.

Note: The UPS is designed for typical computer setups. Avoid connecting devices with high power consumption or those that require a pure sine wave output, as this UPS provides a simulated sine wave.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the power button on the front panel until the LED indicators illuminate.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the power button until the LED indicators turn off.

6.2 LED Indicators and Audible Alarms

The front panel features LED indicators to display the UPS status:

• Green LED: Indicates normal AC mode operation.
• Yellow LED: Indicates battery mode operation (during a power outage).
• Red LED: Indicates a fault or overload condition.

Audible alarms will sound to indicate specific conditions, such as battery mode, low battery, or overload. Refer to the troubleshooting section for alarm interpretations.

6.3 Cold Start Function

The UPS supports a cold start function, allowing you to power on the UPS and connected devices using battery power even when there is no AC input. To perform a cold start, ensure the UPS is off, then press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the UPS powers on.
