1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the MINIEYE 2Pro Dashcam. This device is designed to enhance your driving safety and provide reliable recording of your journeys. Equipped with a SONY IMX415 4K sensor, AI-powered Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), and dual front and rear cameras, it offers comprehensive monitoring and intelligent warnings. This manual provides essential information for proper installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

2. Product Features

3. Setup

3.1 Package Contents

Before installation, please ensure all components are present:

  1. Choose Mounting Location: Select a location on your windshield that does not obstruct your view and allows the camera to capture a clear view of the road ahead. For the rear camera, choose a spot on the rear window.
  2. Clean Surface: Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry before applying the adhesive mount.
  3. Attach Mount: Securely attach the adhesive mount to the chosen location.
  4. Mount Dashcam: Slide the dashcam onto the mount until it clicks into place.
  5. Connect Power: Plug the car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket and connect the power cable to the dashcam. Route the cable neatly to avoid interference with driving.
  6. Connect Rear Camera (Optional): If using a rear camera, connect its cable to the main unit and route it along the vehicle's interior to the rear window.

3.3 Initial Setup

Upon first power-on, the device may prompt you to set the language, date, and time. Follow the on-screen instructions. Ensure the time zone is correct for accurate timestamping of recordings.

3.4 Smartphone App Connection

Download the official MINIEYE app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Once installed:

  1. Turn on Wi-Fi on your smartphone.
  2. On the dashcam, enable Wi-Fi (refer to the device's menu if needed).
  3. Connect your smartphone to the dashcam's Wi-Fi network (SSID and password usually displayed on the dashcam screen or in the manual).
  4. Open the MINIEYE app to access live view, recordings, and settings.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Recording

The dashcam automatically begins recording when powered on. Recordings are saved to the inserted microSD card. Loop recording ensures continuous recording by overwriting the oldest files when the card is full.

4.2 Screen Display Switching

You can switch between different display modes on the dashcam screen. Typically, a quick double-click of the top button allows you to toggle between the ADAS information display and the full dashcam recording view.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the camera lens and screen with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the device.

5.2 MicroSD Card Management

Regularly format your microSD card (at least once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Use a high-quality, high-speed microSD card (Class 10 or higher, U3 recommended) for reliable recording. Replace the card if you experience frequent errors or recording issues.

5.3 Firmware Updates

The MINIEYE 2Pro supports smart firmware updates via the smartphone app. Regularly check for and install updates to ensure your device has the latest features and performance improvements.
