4. Setup & Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Herdio Marine Speakers and amplifier:

4.1 Speaker Cable Connection to Amplifier

  1. Identify the speaker cables. The white wire is positive (+), and the black wire is negative (-).
  2. Locate the speaker terminals on the amplifier (AMP-BTX01). There are terminals for Left+ (L+), Left- (L-), Right+ (R+), and Right- (R-).
  3. Using a small screwdriver, loosen the screws on the amplifier terminals.
  4. Insert the corresponding speaker wires into the terminals. Ensure correct polarity: white to positive, black to negative.
  5. Tighten the screws to secure the wires firmly.

4.2 Power Supply Connection

  1. Connect the provided 12V DC power cable to the amplifier's power input port.
  2. Connect the red wire of the power cable to the positive terminal of your 12V battery (e.g., car battery, marine battery).
  3. Connect the black wire of the power cable to the negative terminal of your 12V battery.
  4. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent power interruptions or damage.

4.3 Speaker Mounting

The speakers come with adjustable mounting brackets for flexible installation.

  1. To attach the bracket, turn the knob on the side of the speaker counter-clockwise to remove it.
  2. Position the bracket on your desired mounting surface (e.g., support bar, frame, roll-cage) and secure it using the provided screws.
  3. Place the speaker back onto the bracket and tighten the knob clockwise until the speaker is firmly held.
  4. Loosen the knobs slightly to adjust the speaker's angle (up to 180 degrees rotation) for optimal sound direction, then re-tighten.

5.1 Amplifier Controls

The amplifier features several buttons for controlling playback and settings:

  1. Ensure the amplifier is powered on. The blue Bluetooth indicator light will blink, indicating it is in pairing mode.
