Cooking Rice (General Steps)

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One cup of uncooked rice typically yields 2-3 cups of cooked rice. The maximum capacity is 10 cups of uncooked rice.
  2. Wash Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
  3. Add Water: Place the washed rice into the inner pot. Add the appropriate amount of water according to the rice type and desired consistency. Refer to the water level markings inside the inner pot or a standard rice-to-water ratio (e.g., 1:1 for white rice).
  4. Place Inner Pot: Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is dry, then place it into the main unit. Close the lid securely.
  5. Select Function: Press the MENU button repeatedly until the indicator for your desired rice type (e.g., White Rice, Brown Rice, Mixed Rice, Quick Rice) illuminates.
  6. Start Cooking: Press the START button. The cooker will begin the cooking process. The display will show a countdown or a pattern indicating cooking is in progress.
  7. Keep Warm: Once cooking is complete, the multi-cooker will automatically switch to the Keep Warm mode. The display will show the elapsed time in Keep Warm mode.
  8. Serve: Open the lid carefully, avoiding steam. Fluff the rice with the provided rice scoop and serve.

Using Delay Start

The Delay Start function allows you to set a timer for when you want the cooking process to begin.

  1. Prepare ingredients and place them in the inner pot as usual.
  2. Select your desired cooking function using the MENU button.
  3. Press the DELAY START button. The display will show a default delay time.
  4. Press DELAY START repeatedly to adjust the delay time in increments (e.g., 1 hour). The maximum delay time is 12 hours.
  5. Press START to confirm the delay time. The timer will begin counting down, and cooking will start automatically once the delay time expires.

Intelligent Cooking Curve

The Midea Multi-Cooker utilizes an intelligent cooking curve to optimize the cooking process for various food types, ensuring ideal texture and taste. This curve includes distinct stages:

  • Preheat: Gradually raises temperature.
  • Water Absorption: Allows grains to soak water evenly.
  • Quick Heating: Rapid temperature increase.
  • Continuous Boiling: Maintains optimal boiling temperature.
  • Braising: Slow cooking phase for thorough cooking.
  • Heat Preservation (Keep Warm): Maintains food at serving temperature.
