Setup and Assembly

The MOONCOOL TK1 Electric Trike is designed for quick and easy assembly, arriving 95% pre-assembled. Most users can complete the setup in approximately 15 minutes.

Unboxing and Initial Steps

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the user manual are present. The main frame of the trike comes pre-folded.

Handlebar Assembly

Loosen the fixing bolt on the handlebar stem by turning it anti-clockwise. Insert the handlebar tube into the handle tube, ensuring the lower bar opening is not misaligned. Adjust the handlebar height to a comfortable position and tighten the fixing bolt clockwise to secure it.

Front Wheel and Fender Installation

Attach the front fender to the front fork using the provided bolts. Install the front wheel by aligning it with the fork and securing it with the quick-release skewer. Ensure the brake rotor is correctly positioned within the caliper.

Seat Post Adjustment

Open the latch on the seat tube and loosen the nut. Slowly insert the seat post into the seat tube and adjust the height appropriately. Tighten the latch correctly to make sure the seat height is accurate and secure.

Basket Installation

The trike comes with front and rear baskets. Attach the front basket to the designated mounting points on the handlebar stem using the provided hardware. For the rear basket, assemble the side panels and base, then secure it to the rear frame using the included spacers and bolts. Ensure all connections are firm.

Battery Installation and Charging

The 48V 15Ah removable battery is located under the seat. To install, align the battery with the rail plate and snap it into place. Turn the key clockwise to lock the battery. The battery can be charged on or off the trike. Connect the charger to the battery's charging port and then to a power outlet. The charger indicator light will show charging status.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off and Display

Press and hold the power button on the LCD display to turn the trike on or off. The multi-functional LCD display shows speed, battery level, pedal assist level, and other ride data. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to navigate through display modes and adjust settings.

Pedal Assist and Throttle

The trike features 5 pedal assist levels. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display to select your desired assist level. For immediate power without pedaling, use the twist throttle located on the right handlebar. The 500W rated motor with 1000W peak power provides smooth acceleration and speeds up to 15.5 MPH.

Braking System

The MOONCOOL TK1 is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes for reliable stopping power. It also features a parking brake. To engage the parking brake, squeeze the brake levers and push the small lever on the brake handle. To release, simply squeeze the brake levers again.

Lights and Horn

The trike includes a front LED headlight and rear brake lights for visibility. The horn button is located on the left handlebar for alerting others.
