Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Regularly clean your keyboard to prevent dust and debris buildup. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove particles from between keycaps. For keycap surfaces, use a damp cloth with a mild cleaning solution, ensuring no liquid enters the switches.
2. Switch Lubrication
The included switch lube kit allows for lubrication of your mechanical switches to maintain smooth operation and optimal sound. Follow these steps:
- Carefully remove the desired keycap using the keycap puller.
- Use the switch puller to gently remove the switch from its socket.
- Disassemble the switch using the switch opener.
- Apply a thin, even layer of Krytox GPL-205-GD0 lubricant to the switch stem and housing using the lube brush. Avoid over-lubricating.
- Reassemble the switch and reinsert it into the keyboard socket, ensuring it clicks firmly into place.
- Replace the keycap.
Refer to the included quick start guide for visual instructions on switch disassembly and lubrication.
3. Keycap Replacement
To replace keycaps, use the keycap puller to carefully remove the existing keycap. Align the new keycap with the switch stem and press down gently until it is securely seated.
Troubleshooting
1. Connectivity Issues
- Wireless (2.4 GHz/Bluetooth): Ensure the keyboard is charged. Verify the correct mode is selected via the side switch. For 2.4 GHz, try repositioning the USB dongle using the extender. For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is in pairing mode and your device's Bluetooth is enabled.
- Wired: Check the USB cable connection at both ends. Try a different USB port or cable.
2. Software (Armoury Crate) Problems
- If Armoury Crate fails to recognize the keyboard, ensure the software is up-to-date and try restarting your computer. Reinstalling the software may resolve persistent issues.
- Ensure the keyboard's firmware is updated through Armoury Crate for optimal compatibility and features.
3. Key Response Issues
- If a key is not responding or double-typing, try removing the keycap and switch to inspect for debris. Clean the switch or replace it if necessary.
4. Battery Life
- Battery life can vary based on RGB lighting and OLED display usage. To extend battery life, reduce RGB brightness, disable the OLED display, or use wired mode.
