Introduction
The iCON Pro Audio V1-M is a premium Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) controller designed to enhance your audio production workflow. It features touch-sensitive motorized faders, an intuitive touchscreen display, and seamless integration with popular DAWs. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your V1-M controller.

Setup
System Requirements
- Operating System: Mac (10.15 or above) or Windows (10 or above)
- Hardware: PC with USB-C port
- Compatible DAWs: Bitwig, Cubase/Nuendo, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Ability, Audition, FL Studio, Studio One, and more.
Connecting the V1-M
- Connect the provided USB-C cable from the V1-M to an available USB-C port on your computer.
- Connect the power adapter to the V1-M's power input and then to a power outlet.
- Power on the V1-M using the power switch located on the rear panel.

Software Installation and Configuration
The V1-M is designed for plug-and-play operation. For advanced customization and optimal performance, it is recommended to install the iMap software from the iCON Pro Audio website. This software allows you to configure hotkey commands and MIDI assignments for various functions.

Operating the V1-M
Control Surface Overview
The V1-M features 8 touch-sensitive motorized faders with 12-bit resolution for precise control over your DAW's mixer. Each channel also includes dual-function encoder knobs for pan, send, and other parameters.

Intuitive Touchscreen Display
The large, customizable 7-inch touchscreen provides access to up to 120 DAW functions across 5 color-coded layers. This allows for quick and efficient tailoring of your workflow in real-time.

Seamless DAW Integration
The V1-M can seamlessly integrate with popular DAWs and connect to three DAWs simultaneously, allowing for flexible switching between projects or applications.
Real-Time Feedback Displays
The OLED display, meter bridge, and lower TFT displays provide real-time feedback on levels, pan positions, and other critical information, independent of your computer monitor.
Transport and Navigation Controls
The V1-M includes dedicated transport controls (Play, Stop, Record, Fast Forward, Rewind) and a precise jog wheel for fast navigation within your projects. Additional directional buttons allow for efficient movement and zooming.

Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance and functionality of your V1-M, regularly wipe the surface with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed immediately by a dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish and internal components.
Storage
When not in use, store the V1-M in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and excessive dust. If transporting the unit, use appropriate protective casing to prevent physical damage.
Troubleshooting
No Power
- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the V1-M and a working power outlet.
- Verify that the power switch on the rear of the unit is in the 'ON' position.
- Test the power outlet with another device to confirm it is supplying power.
Not Recognized by Computer/DAW
- Check the USB-C cable connection at both ends. Try a different USB-C port on your computer.
- Restart your computer and the V1-M.
- Ensure your DAW's preferences or settings are configured to recognize the V1-M as a control surface (e.g., Mackie Control Universal or HUI mode). Refer to your DAW's manual for specific setup instructions.
- Visit the iCON Pro Audio website for the latest drivers or firmware updates for the V1-M.
Motorized Faders Not Responding
- Ensure the V1-M is properly connected and recognized by your DAW.
- Check if the faders are enabled in your DAW's control surface settings.
