Setup
The Captain 500 headphones offer multiple connection options:
2.4GHz Wireless Mode (for PC, PS4/PS5, Nintendo Switch)
This mode provides ultra-low latency (Delay ≤ 20ms) and an accessible connection up to 49ft.
- Insert the USB Wireless Dongle into an available USB port on your PC, PS4, PS5, or Nintendo Switch.
- Power on the Captain 500 headphones. They should automatically pair with the dongle.
- On your device, ensure the Captain 500 is selected as the audio output and input device.
Note for Nintendo Switch: Microphone functionality is not supported in 2.4GHz wireless mode.
Note for Mac: 2.4GHz wireless mode is not supported for Mac devices.

Bluetooth Mode (for Phone, Pad, Bluetooth Enabled Devices / Mobile Devices)
This mode offers a delay of < 120ms.
- Ensure the headphones are powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode (refer to Operating Instructions for details on entering pairing mode).
- On your mobile device, go to Bluetooth settings and search for "Captain 500".
- Select "Captain 500" to pair.
Note: Bluetooth mode does not support Xbox All Series consoles.
3.5mm Aux Cable Mode (for 3.5mm audio devices, Xbox Controller)
This mode provides a 0ms delay (wired connection).
- Connect one end of the included 3.5mm audio cable to the headphone's 3.5mm jack.
- Connect the other end to the 3.5mm audio port on your device (e.g., Xbox controller, PC, mobile phone).
Note for Xbox: Older versions of Xbox controllers may require a headset adapter (not included in the package) to use the 3.5mm audio cable.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- To power on: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds until the indicator light illuminates.
- To power off: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off.
Volume Control
- Adjust the volume roller located on the earcup to increase or decrease audio output.
Microphone Mute/Unmute
- Press the Microphone Mute button (usually a dedicated button or a short press on the power button, refer to physical controls on your headset) to toggle microphone mute.
- The microphone is detachable. To remove, gently pull it from its port. To reattach, align and push firmly into the port.
Charging the Headphones
The headphones have a 40-hour battery life and take approximately 3 hours to fully charge.
