5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your NETUM SD-2000NC:

1. Unpack the Device: Carefully remove the document camera and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Place the Device: Position the document camera on a stable, flat surface, ensuring enough space for documents to be placed underneath the camera head.
3. Connect to PC: Connect the USB cable from the document camera to an available USB port on your Windows computer.
4. Install Software: The device requires specific software for full functionality. If a CD is provided, insert it and follow the on-screen instructions. Otherwise, download the latest software from the official NETUM support website. Ensure your Windows operating system (Windows 7 SP1, 8, 10, or above) is compatible. Note: This device is not compatible with Mac OS or Chrome OS.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Document Camera Mode

The SD-2000NC can function as a live document camera for presentations, online meetings, or remote teaching. Simply select the device as your camera source in applications like Zoom, Google Meet, or Skype. Place the object or document under the camera lens for real-time projection.

6.2. Scanning Mode

To scan documents or books:

1. Prepare Document: Place the document or book flat on the scanning mat, ensuring it is within the A4 scanning area.
2. Adjust Lighting: Use the adjustable LED lights on the camera head to ensure optimal illumination and minimize shadows.
3. Initiate Scan: Use the software interface or the foot pedal (if applicable) to trigger a scan. The AutoFocus feature will automatically adjust for clarity.
4. Process Image: The software provides features such as automatic correction, image segmentation, and merging of both sides of scanned document photos for efficient processing.
5. Utilize OCR: For editable text, use the built-in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) function. The device can recognize over 100 different languages and convert scanned pages into editable formats like JPG, PDF, Searchable PDF, Word, Excel, and TIFF.

7. Maintenance
