  • Do not overload the scale beyond its maximum capacity of 200g. Overloading can damage the internal sensor.

3. Product Overview

The UNIWEIGH Digital Pocket Scale (Model UN2-50) is a high-precision weighing instrument designed for various small items such as food, powder, coffee, coins, and jewelry. It features a maximum capacity of 200g with an accuracy of 0.01g, ensuring precise measurements within ±0.03g. The scale offers 6 weighing modes (g, oz, gn, ct, dwt, ozt) for versatility.

Its compact and portable design, along with a protective lid, makes it convenient for use anywhere. The scale is equipped with a clear blue backlit LCD screen for easy reading and includes features like low battery power alerts, overload indication, and an auto-off function after 180 seconds to conserve energy.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the underside of the scale.
  2. Insert the two AAA batteries (included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Initial Placement

For optimal accuracy, place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Avoid placing it on soft surfaces like carpets or near air vents, fans, or open windows that could cause drafts.

5. Operation

5.1 Power On/Off

  • To turn the scale ON, press the ON/OFF button. The display will light up and show "0.00g" when ready.
  • To turn the scale OFF, press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale will also automatically turn off after 180 seconds of inactivity.

5.2 Weighing Modes (Unit Conversion)

The scale supports 6 different weighing units. To switch between units (g, oz, gn, ct, dwt, ozt), press the MODE button repeatedly until the desired unit is displayed.

5.3 Tare Function

The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you only measure the net weight of the contents.

  1. Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
  2. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.00g".
  3. Add the items you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show the net weight of the items.

5.4 General Weighing

  1. Turn on the scale and ensure it displays "0.00g".
  2. If using a container, perform the tare function as described above.
  3. Carefully place the item(s) to be weighed onto the center of the weighing platform or into the tared container.
  4. Wait for the reading to stabilize. The displayed value is the weight of the item(s).

6. Calibration

Calibration ensures the accuracy of your scale. It is recommended to calibrate the scale upon first use and periodically thereafter, or if you suspect inaccurate readings.

  1. Turn the scale ON. Ensure the display shows "0.00g".
  2. Press and hold the MODE button until the display shows "CAL", then release.
  3. Press the MODE button again. The display will flash the required calibration weight (e.g., "50.00g").
  4. Carefully place the 50g calibration weight (included) onto the center of the weighing platform.
  5. Wait for the display to show "PASS". This indicates successful calibration. The scale will then return to normal weighing mode.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

To clean the scale, wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or immerse the scale in water. Ensure the scale is completely dry before storage or next use.

7.2 Storage

When not in use, store the scale in a clean, dry place at room temperature. Keep the protective lid closed to prevent dust and damage to the weighing platform.
