3. Setup
3.1 Assembly
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Handlebar Assembly: Unfold the handle and secure it in the operating position using the provided fasteners. Ensure all connections are tight.
- Chute Assembly: Attach the ejection chute according to the diagrams in the separate assembly guide. Ensure the adjustment crank is properly connected.
3.2 Battery Installation
The ST 700e requires one or two 48V STIGA batteries (not included). Ensure batteries are fully charged before first use.
- Locate the battery compartment on the snow blower.
- Insert the charged 48V battery (or batteries) into the designated slots until they click securely into place.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Starting the Snow Blower
- Ensure batteries are installed and fully charged.
- Press and hold the safety button on the handle.
- While holding the safety button, pull the bail lever towards the handle to engage the motor. Release the safety button once the motor starts.
4.2 Snow Removal
- Push the snow blower forward at a steady pace. Do not force the machine through heavy snow.
- The ST 700e is designed to clear snow depths up to 20 cm. For deeper snow, clear in multiple passes.
- Use the central crank to adjust the direction of the snow ejection chute. This allows you to direct snow away from desired areas, such as porches or neighbor's gardens.
- The integrated LED headlights activate automatically or can be manually switched on (refer to specific model controls) for use in dark conditions or poor visibility.
4.3 Stopping the Snow Blower
Release the bail lever to stop the motor. The auger will cease rotation.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your snow blower.
- Cleaning: After each use, remove any snow, ice, or debris from the auger housing, chute, and exterior surfaces. Ensure the battery compartment is clean and dry.
- Inspection: Periodically check all fasteners, bolts, and moving parts for wear or damage. Replace any worn or damaged components immediately.
- Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not expose them to extreme temperatures. Charge batteries fully before long-term storage.
- Storage: When not in use, especially during warmer months, clean the snow blower thoroughly. Fold the handle for compact storage in a garage or garden shed.
6. Troubleshooting
