Note: For optimal tea brewing, some users prefer to boil the water first, then add the infuser with tea leaves after the kettle has turned off, allowing for controlled steeping without boiling the tea leaves directly.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your kettle.
- Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Interior Cleaning (Kettle): For general cleaning, rinse the interior with water. For stubborn stains or mineral deposits (limescale), fill the kettle with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or boil the mixture for 5-10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water.
- Tea Infuser Cleaning: The stainless steel tea infuser can be rinsed under running water. For thorough cleaning, it can be washed with mild dish soap and a soft brush, then rinsed well.
- Do not immerse the kettle body or power base in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: When not in use, store the kettle in a clean, dry place. You can wrap the power cord around the cord storage area under the power base.
