5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

The device comes with a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the device.

  1. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the device's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not always included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The charging indicator on the device will show the charging status. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours (1.5 hours for 94% charge).

5.2 Powering On/Off

  • To power on: Press and hold the power button located on the top of the device until the screen illuminates.
  • To power off: Press and hold the power button until a shutdown prompt appears on the screen. Confirm to power off.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Operation

The GW192K features a 3.5-inch touchscreen for navigation and control. Tap icons to access different functions and settings.

6.2 Image Modes

The device supports several image modes:

  • Thermal: Displays only the infrared image.
  • Visible Light: Displays only the image from the visible light camera.
  • Dual Light Fusion: Overlays the thermal image onto the visible light image for enhanced detail and context.
  • Picture-in-Picture: Displays a smaller thermal image window within the visible light image.

To switch modes, tap the corresponding icon on the touchscreen interface.

6.3 Temperature Measurement

The GW192K provides real-time temperature readings:

  • Center Spot: Displays the temperature at the center of the screen.
  • Max/Min Spot: Automatically identifies and displays the maximum and minimum temperatures within the field of view.

Adjust emissivity settings for accurate temperature readings on different surfaces. This setting can typically be found in the device's menu.

6.4 Capturing Images and Videos

  • To capture an image: Press the dedicated capture button or tap the camera icon on the screen. Images are saved to the internal 4GB eMMC storage.
  • To record video: Tap the video recording icon. Tap again to stop recording. Videos are saved in .mp4 format.

6.5 Digital Zoom

Use the digital zoom function to magnify the image from 1.0x to 4.0x in 0.1x increments. This allows for closer inspection of specific areas.

6.6 Wi-Fi Connectivity

The device supports Wi-Fi connectivity for data transfer and advanced analysis via the 'GOYOJO Viewer' application.

  • Activate the Wi-Fi hotspot feature in the device settings.
  • Connect your smartphone or computer to the device's Wi-Fi network.
  • Use the 'GOYOJO Viewer' app (download separately) to access advanced thermal analysis features and transfer data.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Device

  • Ensure the device is powered off before cleaning.
  • Wipe the device body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Gently clean the camera lenses with a lens cleaning cloth.

7.2 Storage

When not in use, store the device in its carrying case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
