1. Product Overview

The JXTZ Motion Sensor Night Light provides automatic, hands-free illumination for various indoor spaces. Designed for convenience and energy efficiency, these battery-powered lights activate upon detecting motion in dark environments, offering soft, warm white light where needed.

Key features include:

• Motion Sensor Activation: Automatically turns on when motion is detected within 3-5 meters (10-16 feet) at a 120-degree detection angle, and turns off after 20 seconds of no activity.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1. Battery Installation

1. Gently slide off the back cover of the night light.
2. Insert three (3) AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Replace the back cover securely.

3.2. Mounting the Light

1. Clean the desired mounting surface to ensure it is smooth, dry, and free of dust or grease.
2. Peel off the protective film from one side of an adhesive pad and attach it to the back cover of the night light.
3. Peel off the protective film from the other side of the adhesive pad.
4. Press the night light firmly onto the chosen surface for several seconds to ensure a strong bond.

Note: Do not attach adhesive pads to rough or wet surfaces, as this may cause the light to fall.

4. Operating Instructions

The JXTZ Motion Sensor Night Light is designed for automatic operation. There are no manual on/off switches.

• Automatic Activation: The light will automatically turn on when motion is detected within its sensing range (3-5 meters, 120-degree angle) in a dark environment.
• Automatic Deactivation: The light will automatically turn off approximately 20 seconds after no motion is detected.
• Light Sensor: The integrated light sensor ensures the light only activates in low-light conditions, conserving battery life during daylight hours.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Battery Replacement

When the light output becomes dim or the motion sensor responsiveness decreases, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.1.

5.2. Cleaning

To clean the night light, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.

6. Troubleshooting

• Light does not turn on:
  • Ensure batteries are installed correctly with the right polarity.
  • Check if the batteries are depleted and replace them if necessary.
  • Verify that the environment is dark enough. The light sensor prevents activation in sufficiently lit areas.
• Light turns on unexpectedly or stays on too long:
  • Ensure there is no continuous motion within the sensor's range.
  • Avoid placing the light near heat sources or infrared heaters, as these can interfere with the motion sensor.
• Motion sensor is not responsive:
  • Check battery levels; low batteries can affect sensor performance.
  • Ensure the sensor lens is clean and unobstructed.
  • Avoid placing two motion-activated lights too close to each other, as the light from one may prevent the other from activating.
• Light falls off the mounting surface:
  • Ensure the mounting surface is smooth, clean, and dry before applying the adhesive pad.
  • Use a fresh adhesive pad if the existing one has lost its stickiness.
