Instruction Manual

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Favoto Adult Bike Helmet. This manual provides essential information for the proper use, adjustment, and maintenance of your helmet. Please read it thoroughly before using the helmet to ensure maximum safety and comfort.

2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. This helmet is designed to reduce the risk of head injury during cycling activities. However, no helmet can protect against all foreseeable impacts. Always ride responsibly and follow traffic laws.

  • Proper Fit: Ensure the helmet fits snugly and comfortably. An improperly fitted helmet may not provide adequate protection.
  • Inspection: Before each ride, inspect your helmet for any signs of damage, such as cracks, dents, or frayed straps. If damaged, replace the helmet immediately.
  • Single Impact: This helmet is designed for a single impact. If the helmet sustains an impact, even if no visible damage is apparent, it should be replaced.
  • Visibility: The integrated LED taillight enhances your visibility to others, especially during low-light conditions. Always ensure it is functioning correctly.
  • Cleaning: Use only mild soap and water for cleaning. Harsh chemicals can damage the helmet's materials and compromise its protective capabilities.
  • CPSC Certified: This helmet meets the U.S. CPSC Safety Standard for Bicycle Helmets for persons age 5 and older.

4. Setup

4.1. Adjusting Helmet Fit

For optimal protection, the helmet must fit snugly and comfortably on your head.

  1. Placement: Place the helmet squarely on your head, ensuring it covers your forehead. It should not tilt backward or forward.
  2. Adjustable Dial: Locate the adjustable dial at the back of the helmet. Turn the dial clockwise to tighten the fit or counter-clockwise to loosen it until the helmet feels snug without being uncomfortably tight.
  3. Shake Test: With the chin strap unbuckled, shake your head gently. The helmet should not shift significantly.

4.2. Attaching and Detaching Magnetic Goggles

The helmet includes magnetic goggles for eye protection against sun, dust, and wind.

  1. Attachment: Align the magnets on the goggles with the corresponding magnetic points on the helmet's front edge. The goggles will snap into place.
  2. Positioning: The goggles can be worn in three ways: down over your eyes, flipped up and attached to the helmet's top when not needed, or removed entirely.
  3. Detachment: Gently pull the goggles away from the helmet to detach them.

The chin strap secures the helmet in place.

  1. Buckle: Fasten the quick-release buckle under your chin.
  2. Strap Adjustment: Adjust the straps on both sides so that they form a 'V' shape just below your ears. The strap should be snug but allow two fingers to fit comfortably between the strap and your chin.
  3. Padding: The chin strap includes cushioned padding for comfort, which can be detached for cleaning.
