Introduction

The PlayStation®5 Digital Edition (slim) unleashes new gaming possibilities. This all-digital version of the PS5 console features no disc drive, allowing users to buy and download games directly from the PlayStation Store (an account for PlayStation Network is required). Experience lightning-fast loading with an ultra-high-speed SSD, deeper immersion with haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and 3D Audio.

Setup Guide

1. Unboxing and Placement

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place your PS5 Digital Edition console in a well-ventilated area, either vertically or horizontally. The console comes with two horizontal stand feet for stable placement. If you prefer vertical orientation, a separate vertical stand is available for purchase.

2. Connecting Your Console

  1. Power Connection: Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC IN connector on the back of the PS5 console, then plug the other end into a power outlet.
  2. HDMI Connection: Connect the supplied HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port on the PS5 console to the HDMI IN port on your TV or display.
  3. Controller Connection: Connect the DualSense Wireless Controller to the PS5 console using the supplied USB cable. This will pair the controller and charge its battery.

3. Initial Setup

Once connected, turn on your TV and then press the PlayStation button on your DualSense controller to power on the console. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup, which includes:

The PS5 Digital Edition (slim) comes with a 1TB SSD. You can manage your storage by deleting games or applications you no longer play. For additional storage, you can install a compatible M.2 SSD (sold separately) into the expansion slot.
