1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the AMHVMU P2 Head-Up Display. This device is a multifunctional LCD dashboard that integrates OBD2, GPS, and a slope meter, providing comprehensive driving data and enhancing safety. It is designed to offer a new driving experience by displaying essential vehicle information directly in your line of sight.

The P2 HUD features a 3.5-inch screen and is equipped with advanced sensors for accurate data collection and display.

2. Key Features

  • Multifunction Instrumentation: Combines OBD2, GPS, and slope meter functions for a comprehensive display of vehicle data.
  • Extensive Data Display: Shows speed, RPM, voltage, water temperature, oil level, clock, driving time, driving distance, satellite count, outdoor temperature, driving direction, latitude, longitude, altitude, average fuel consumption, transmission oil temperature, intake temperature, oil temperature, instantaneous fuel consumption, engine load, oil pressure, acceleration test, and more.
  • Alarm Functions: Includes overspeed alarm, RPM alarm, water temperature alarm, voltage alarm, and oil temperature alarm. Features an ambient light alarm reminder with a red flashing warning for enhanced driving safety.
  • Electronic Slope Gauge/G-Sensor: Integrated 6-axis sensors (3-axis gyroscope, 3-axis accelerometer) with MEMS structure sealing process provide real-time body attitude changes to ensure driving safety.
  • Cool Ambient Light: Blue, red, purple, and other ambient light colors can be freely selected, bringing a sense of technology full of visual experience.

4. Setup and Installation

The AMHVMU P2 HUD offers flexible installation options. It can be placed on the instrument panel or hung on the windshield.

4.1. Identifying Components

  • Wheel Button: Used for navigation and selection within the menu.
  • Photosensitive Aperture: Automatically adjusts display brightness based on ambient light.
  • Spare Interface: For future expansions or specific connections.
  • OBD Interface: Connects to your vehicle's OBD2 port for data acquisition.
  • Rotatable Bracket: Allows adjustment of the display angle.
  • Adjustable Bracket: Provides stability and positioning.

4.2. Installation Steps

  1. Choose Placement: Decide whether to place the HUD on your dashboard or hang it on the windshield. Use the provided non-slip mat for dashboard placement.
  2. Connect OBD Cable: Locate your vehicle's OBD2 port (usually under the dashboard on the driver's side). Connect one end of the OBD cable to the HUD's OBD interface and the other end to the vehicle's OBD2 port.
  3. Secure the Device: Ensure the HUD is securely positioned and the bracket is adjusted for optimal viewing without obstructing your driving view.
  4. Power On: The device will power on automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned on.

5. Operating Instructions

The AMHVMU P2 HUD offers various display interfaces and settings. Use the wheel button to navigate and adjust settings.

5.1. Display Modes and Interfaces

The device supports 12 different display interfaces, allowing you to customize the information presented. Rotate the wheel button to cycle through these interfaces.

5.2. Navigating the Menu

  • Short Press Wheel Button: Enters the main menu or confirms a selection.
  • Long Press Wheel Button: Exits the current menu or returns to the main display.
  • Rotate Wheel Button: Scrolls through options or adjusts values.

5.3. Alarm Functions

The P2 HUD includes several alarm functions to alert you to potential issues. When an alarm is triggered, the ambient light may flash red, and an audible alert may sound.

  • Overspeed Alarm: Alerts when vehicle speed exceeds a set limit.
  • RPM Alarm: Alerts when engine RPM exceeds a set limit.
  • Water Temperature Alarm: Alerts if engine coolant temperature is too high.
  • Voltage Alarm: Alerts if vehicle battery voltage is too low or too high.
  • Oil Temperature Alarm: Alerts if engine oil temperature is too high.

Alarm thresholds can be configured in the settings menu.

5.4. Slope Meter Function

The integrated 6-axis sensor provides real-time information on body posture changes, useful for off-road driving or navigating uneven terrain.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AMHVMU P2 HUD, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the display screen and the device body. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or spray cleaners directly on the unit.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Cable Care: Handle the OBD and USB cables carefully. Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling that could damage the connectors or wiring.
  • Avoid Water Exposure: The device is not waterproof. Do not expose it to rain, splashes, or immerse it in water.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AMHVMU P2 HUD, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
