1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the Carro Smart Ceiling Fan Remote Control. This remote is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement designed specifically for Carro smart ceiling fans equipped with DC motors. It offers full control over fan functions including speed adjustment, light operation (on/off/dimmer), reverse direction, and natural breeze mode.

Important Note: This remote control is compatible only with Carro DC motor ceiling fan models such as Icebreaker, Striver, Trailblazer, Cresta, Voyager, Aspen, Veter, and Daisy. It is not suitable for models with ASINs B09QRH7JD6, B09S3CN4DF, B09S2VCRQH, B09S3JV3M3, B09T35WFPL, B09T2B1J8X, B09T2XYCH2, or B09XXPP3QM.

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Pairing the Remote Control with Your Fan

To pair the new remote control with your Carro DC motor ceiling fan, follow these steps:

  1. Power Off the Fan: Turn off the main power supply to your ceiling fan at the circuit breaker or wall switch. Wait for at least 30 seconds.
  2. Restore Power: Turn the main power supply back on.
  3. Initiate Pairing: Within 30 seconds of restoring power, press and hold the Fan ON/OFF button on the new remote control for approximately 5 seconds.
  4. Confirmation: The fan light (if applicable) will blink, or the fan will briefly spin, indicating successful pairing.
  5. Test Functions: Test all remote functions to ensure proper operation.

If pairing is unsuccessful, repeat the steps. Ensure the remote is within range of the fan during the pairing process.

4. Operating Instructions

The Carro Smart Ceiling Fan Remote Control provides intuitive control over your fan's various functions.

4.1 Fan Speed Control

  • Press the Fan ON/OFF button to turn the fan on or off.
  • Use the Fan Speed Up button to increase the fan speed.
  • Use the Fan Speed Down button to decrease the fan speed.
  • The fan offers multiple speed settings (typically 1-10 speeds, depending on the fan model).

4.2 Light Control

  • Press the Light ON/OFF button to turn the light on or off.
  • To dim or brighten the light, press and hold the Light ON/OFF button. Release when the desired brightness is reached.
  • Some models may also have dedicated dimming buttons.

4.3 Reverse Fan Direction

The reverse function allows you to change the direction of the fan blades, optimizing air circulation for different seasons.

  • Press the Reverse Direction button to switch the fan blade rotation direction.
  • In summer, blades should rotate counter-clockwise to create a downdraft.
  • In winter, blades should rotate clockwise at a low speed to create an updraft, circulating warm air.

4.4 Natural Breeze Mode

Activate the Natural Breeze button to simulate a gentle, varying breeze, providing a more comfortable and natural airflow experience.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's range decreases or functions become intermittent. Always use new AAA batteries and dispose of old batteries responsibly.
  • Storage: If the remote will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
