5. Installation

Before proceeding with installation, ensure the main power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker to prevent electric shock.

5.1 Wiring Diagram

The module supports 4-wire AC motors. Refer to the diagrams below for correct wiring with or without a traditional panel switch.

Wiring Steps:

  1. Disconnect Power: Turn off the main power supply to the circuit you are working on.
  2. Connect Power Input: Connect the Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires from your AC power supply to the corresponding L and N terminals on the module.
  3. Connect Motor: Connect the AC motor's wires to the L1 (Up), L2 (Down), and N (Neutral) terminals on the module. Ensure the motor's ground wire is properly connected to the electrical system's ground.
  4. Connect Panel Switch (Optional): If using a traditional panel switch, connect its wires to the S1 and S2 terminals on the module, and the common wire to the L terminal.
  5. Secure Connections: Ensure all wire connections are tight and secure.
  6. Mount Module: Carefully place the module into the electrical box or junction box.
  7. Restore Power: Turn the main power supply back on.

6. Setup

6.1 App Installation and Pairing

The module is compatible with the Tuya Smart or Smart Life applications.

  1. Download App: Download the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store (available for Android and iOS). Alternatively, scan the QR code below.

  3. Register/Login: Open the app and register a new account or log in with an existing one.
  4. Enter Pairing Mode: After powering on the module, it should automatically enter pairing mode (indicated by a rapidly blinking Wi-Fi indicator light). If not, press and hold the learning button on the module for 5 seconds until the light blinks rapidly.
  5. Add Device: In the app, tap "+" to add a new device. Select "Curtain Switch" or "Shutter Switch" from the device list.
  6. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the in-app instructions to connect the module to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your phone is also connected to the same 2.4GHz network.
  7. Rename Device: Once successfully added, you can rename the device for easier identification (e.g., "Living Room Blinds").

6.2 RF Remote Pairing

This module supports RF 433MHz remote controls with EV1527 learning code.

  1. Enter Learning Mode: Press the learning button on the receiver module once.
  2. Pair Remote: Immediately press any button on your RF remote transmitter. The module's indicator light will flash to confirm successful pairing.

Note: The module can store approximately 20 transmitters. Some units may come pre-paired from the factory.

6.3 Clearing RF Signal

To clear all paired RF remote controls from the module:

  1. Clear Signal: Press the learning button on the receiver module 8 times. The indicator light will flash to confirm the signal has been cleared.

Note: After resetting, any previously paired RF transmitters will no longer control the module.

  1. Link Account: In the Alexa or Google Home app, link your Tuya Smart/Smart Life account.
  2. Discover Devices: Ask your voice assistant to discover new devices.
  3. Voice Commands: Use commands such as:

    • "Hey Google, close [Device Name]"
    • "Alexa, set [Device Name] to 50%"
