Introduction

Setup Guide
- Unpack the Robot: Carefully remove the robot vacuum and all accessories from the packaging. Remove any protective film or packing materials.
- Install Side Brushes: Snap the two side brushes onto the square pegs on the bottom of the robot until they click into place.
- Place the Charging Dock: Position the charging dock on a level surface against a wall in an open area, free from obstacles. Ensure there is at least 3 feet of clear space on either side of the dock and 5 feet in front of it. Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
- Initial Charge: Place the robot onto the charging dock. The blue indicator lights on the robot will illuminate to show it is charging. Allow the robot to fully charge for 6 hours before its first use.
- Connect to Wi-Fi (Optional):
- Download the SharkClean app from your smartphone's app store.
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot vacuum to your home Wi-Fi network. This enables remote control, scheduling, and access to additional features.
Operating Instructions
Starting a Clean Cycle:
- Manual Start: Press the Clean button on the top of the robot. The robot will begin cleaning and automatically return to the dock when finished or when its battery is low.
- App Control: Open the SharkClean app on your smartphone. From the main screen, you can initiate a cleaning cycle, pause, or send the robot back to its dock.
- Voice Control: If connected to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, use voice commands such as "Alexa, tell Shark to start cleaning" or "Hey Google, ask Shark to clean."

Cleaning Modes:
- Standard Clean: The robot navigates in a systematic pattern to cover the entire floor area.
- Max Mode: Press the Max button on the robot or select Max mode in the app for increased suction power, ideal for deep cleaning or heavily soiled areas.
- Spot Clean: (If available on your model) Place the robot in the center of a specific dirty area and activate spot clean for concentrated cleaning in that zone.
Returning to Dock:
- The robot will automatically return to its charging dock when the battery is low or when a cleaning cycle is complete.
- To manually send the robot back, press the Dock button on the robot or select the "Dock" option in the SharkClean app.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance of your Shark ION Robot Vacuum. Perform these steps regularly to keep your robot cleaning efficiently.
Emptying the Dust Bin:
Empty the dust bin after each cleaning cycle or when the 'Bin Full' indicator (if available) illuminates.
- Press the dust bin release button located on the top of the robot.
- Slide the dust bin out.
- Open the dust bin flap and empty debris into a trash can.
- Close the flap and slide the dust bin back into the robot until it clicks into place.

Cleaning the Filter:
Clean the filter weekly or as needed. Tap off loose dirt, or rinse with water if heavily soiled (allow to air dry completely before reinserting).
Cleaning the Brushroll:
Remove hair and debris from the brushroll regularly. Use the cleaning tool provided to cut away any wrapped hair.
Cleaning Side Brushes:
Check side brushes for wrapped hair or debris. Gently pull them off to clean, and snap them back into place.
Cleaning Sensors and Charging Pads:
Wipe the sensors and charging pads on the robot and dock with a clean, dry cloth to ensure proper functionality.
Troubleshooting
