1.2 ANCEL FD700 OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner
The ANCEL FD700 is a professional OBD2 scan tool specifically designed for Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles manufactured from 1996 to 2019. It offers comprehensive all-system diagnostics, allowing users to quickly scan and pinpoint problems across various vehicle control modules such as Engine, SRS, TPMS, ABS, SAS, ESP, TCM, CKP, EPB, EPS, BMS, and PCM. Additionally, the FD700 provides 33 special maintenance functions tailored for these specific vehicle brands. It also functions as a universal OBD2 diagnostic tool for other vehicle brands manufactured after 1996, supporting basic OBD2 functions like reading and clearing codes, I/M readiness, and data stream analysis.

2. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety instructions before using the ANCEL BM200 and FD700 devices. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Always wear appropriate eye protection when working near vehicle batteries.
- Ensure the vehicle is in a well-ventilated area to prevent the accumulation of explosive gases.
- Keep the devices away from water, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the devices. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
- Avoid touching hot engine components when connecting or disconnecting the FD700.
- When connecting the BM200, ensure correct polarity: red clamp to positive (+) terminal, black clamp to negative (-) terminal. Incorrect connection can damage the device or battery.
- Keep children and unauthorized personnel away from the work area.
3. Setup
3.1 ANCEL BM200 Setup
- Download the App: Scan the QR code on the BM200 device or visit http://link.quicklynks.com/bm6-ancel.html to download the official ANCEL BM200 app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Connect to Battery: Attach the red clamp of the BM200 to the positive (+) terminal of the 12V vehicle battery and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure a secure connection.
- Pair via Bluetooth: Open the ANCEL BM200 app on your smartphone. The app will automatically detect and attempt to pair with the BM200 device via Bluetooth 4.2. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

3.2 ANCEL FD700 Setup
- Locate OBD2 Port: Identify the 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic port in your vehicle. This port is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side.
- Connect FD700: Plug the FD700's OBD2 connector firmly into the vehicle's OBD2 port.
- Power On: The FD700 will power on automatically once connected to the vehicle's OBD2 port. The device draws power directly from the vehicle's battery.
4. Operation
4.1 ANCEL BM200 Operation
Once connected and paired, use the ANCEL BM200 app on your smartphone to perform various battery tests and monitor battery health.
- Real-time Monitoring: The app displays live battery voltage, temperature, and charge status.
- Voltage Test: Measures the current voltage of the battery.
- Cranking Test: Evaluates the battery's ability to start the engine by measuring cranking voltage and time.
- Charging Test: Assesses the vehicle's charging system (alternator) by monitoring voltage output under different loads.
- Battery Load Test: Simulates a load on the battery to determine its overall health and capacity.
- Historical Data: Access and review up to 31 days of recorded battery data, including voltage graphs, to track battery performance over time.

4.2 ANCEL FD700 Operation
Navigate the FD700 using the directional buttons and the OK/ESC buttons on the device. The main menu provides access to different diagnostic functions.
- All System Diagnosis: For Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles, the FD700 can access and diagnose all available control modules, including Engine, SRS (Airbag), TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), SAS (Steering Angle Sensor), ESP (Electronic Stability Program), TCM (Transmission Control Module), CKP (Crankshaft Position Sensor), EPB (Electronic Parking Brake), EPS (Electric Power Steering), BMS (Battery Management System), PCM (Powertrain Control Module), Suspension, and Brake systems. This allows for comprehensive fault detection across the vehicle.
- Basic OBD2 Functions: For all OBD2 compliant vehicles (1996 and newer), the FD700 performs standard OBD2 functions:
- Read Codes: Retrieves Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the vehicle's computer.
- Erase Codes: Clears DTCs from the vehicle's computer and turns off the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL).
- I/M Readiness: Checks the status of emission-related monitors.
- Data Stream: Displays live sensor data in text or graph format.
- EVAP System Test: Initiates a test of the evaporative emission control system.
- Turn off MIL: Resets the Check Engine Light after repairs.
- Vehicle Information: Retrieves vehicle identification number (VIN), calibration ID (CALID), and calibration verification number (CVN).
- DTC Lookup: Provides definitions for generic and manufacturer-specific trouble codes.

- Reset PCM KAM: Resets the Powertrain Control Module's Keep Alive Memory.
- DPF Regeneration: Diesel Particulate Filter regeneration.
- IQA: Injector Quantity Adjustment.
- Steering Angle Sensor Calibration: Calibrates the steering angle sensor.
- Transmission Learning: Performs transmission adaptation learning.
- Clearing Transmission Adaptation Tables: Resets transmission learned values.
- Oil Reset: Resets the oil service light.
- Tire Pressure Reset: Resets the TPMS system.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ANCEL devices.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of both the BM200 and FD700. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the devices in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and corrosive materials. Keep them in their original packaging or a protective case when not in use.
- Software Updates: Periodically check the ANCEL official website or the BM200 app for software and firmware updates for both devices. Updates can improve performance, add new features, and fix bugs. For the FD700, updates typically involve connecting the device to a computer via USB.
6. Troubleshooting

- Device not connecting to app:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.

- Device not powering on:

- Check the vehicle's battery voltage; the device requires sufficient power from the vehicle.
- Verify the vehicle's ignition is in the ON position (engine off or running, depending on the test).
- Communication error with vehicle:
- Ensure the vehicle's ignition is ON.
- Check for loose connections at the OBD2 port.
- Verify the vehicle is OBD2 compliant (1996 or newer for universal functions, or compatible Ford/Lincoln/Mercury model for specific functions).
