Maintenance

  • Battery Management: The integrated solar panel continuously charges the internal 2600mAh lithium battery. Ensure the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight for optimal charging. If using AA backup batteries, check their charge periodically, especially during prolonged periods of low sunlight.
  • Weather Resistance: The camera has an IP66 waterproof rating. While designed to withstand rain and harsh environments, avoid submerging the camera in water. Ensure all latches are securely closed to maintain water resistance.
  • Cleaning: Gently clean the camera lens and solar panel with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt, dust, or debris that may affect image quality or charging efficiency. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • SD Card Care: Regularly back up important data from your SD card to a computer. Format the SD card periodically within the camera to maintain performance and prevent data corruption.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera Not Turning On:
    • Check if the internal battery is charged. Ensure the solar panel is exposed to sunlight.
    • Verify that backup AA batteries (if used) are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge.
    • Ensure the power switch is in the "ON" position.
  • Poor Image/Video Quality:
    • Clean the camera lens.
    • Check resolution settings; ensure they are set to 4K/48MP for highest quality.
    • Ensure sufficient lighting during daytime or proper night vision activation at night.
  • Motion Detection Issues:
    • Adjust PIR sensitivity (Low, Medium, High) based on the environment. High sensitivity is for less active areas, Low for busy areas.
    • Ensure there are no obstacles directly in front of the PIR sensor.
    • Consider environmental factors like strong winds causing vegetation movement, which can trigger false detections.
  • SD Card Errors:
    • Ensure the SD card is Class 10 or higher and formatted correctly within the camera.
    • Try a different SD card to rule out card malfunction.
    • Check if the SD card is full; enable loop recording or replace the card.
