3. Connectivity Options
The TactSuit X16 offers versatile connectivity for various platforms:
For Standalone VR Users (e.g., Meta Quest, PS VR2)
Download and install the "bHaptics Player" app from your VR headset's app store (e.g., Meta Quest Store App Lab).
Pair your TactSuit X16 via Bluetooth in your headset's settings. A solid power button indicator on the vest confirms a successful connection.
Open the bHaptics Player app on your headset to verify the connection status and test haptic feedback. Allow all necessary permissions when running the app for the first time.
For natively supported content, the haptic feedback will activate automatically. For some content, you may need to enable the bHaptics option within the game settings.
If desired content is not natively supported, you can receive audio-based haptic feedback by connecting your TactSuit and headset via an audio cable. Sound produced by the content will be converted into haptics. Be careful not to get tangled with connected wires.
For PC VR Users
Download the bHaptics Player for Windows from the official bHaptics website.
Open the bHaptics Player and plug in the provided USB Bluetooth dongle to your PC.
Right-click on the device icon in the Quick Control Panel (bottom left corner) and select "Pair" to connect. A solid power button on the vest indicates a successful connection.
Choose and run a natively supported game through the bHaptics Player for an immersive haptic experience. A complete list of natively supported games can be found in the "Experiences" section of the bHaptics Player.
For MOD supported games, follow the specific guide provided within the bHaptics Player for installation and setup.
For unsupported games, videos, music, or other media, you can utilize the Audio-to-Haptic feature. Select and enable "Audio-to-Haptic" in the Quick Control Panel and choose a suitable profile (e.g., Pop, Bass) to optimize your haptic experience.
Mobile App (iOS / Android)
The bHaptics Player mobile app is available on both Android and iOS app stores.
Use the mobile app to check the device status, battery level, and firmware version by connecting your TactSuit.
Browse the full list of natively supported games, view gameplay videos, user ratings, and comments.
Wired Audio-to-Haptic can also be set up and managed through the mobile app, allowing you to select and apply haptic profiles or create and share your own.
Operating Your TactSuit X16
Once connected and configured, your TactSuit X16 will provide real-time haptic feedback based on the content you are experiencing.
Native Haptic Feedback: For games and applications with native bHaptics support, the vest will automatically provide precise and localized haptic effects designed by the content creators.
Audio-to-Haptic: For content without native support, the vest can convert audio signals into haptic vibrations. Adjust the intensity and profiles via the bHaptics Player (PC or mobile) to customize your experience.
Feedback Intensity: You can adjust the overall feedback intensity through the bHaptics Player application to suit your preference.
