1. Product Overview

The Durablow IPI-6000-IC is a CSA Certified electronic intermittent pilot ignition (IPI) control module designed for gas fireplaces. 4. Installation Guide

The Durablow IPI-6000-IC module is designed for a 100% direct fit replacement. Before installation, ensure the old module is confirmed to be faulty. This module operates with a 3V input only.

5. Operation

The IPI-6000-IC module facilitates intermittent pilot operation for your gas fireplace. Once installed and connected correctly, the fireplace can be operated using an ON and OFF switch, typically a wall switch or remote control, depending on your fireplace's setup.

When the switch is turned ON, the module initiates the pilot ignition sequence. Once the pilot is established, the main burner will ignite. Turning the switch OFF will shut down both the main burner and the pilot.

6. Troubleshooting

If your fireplace is not operating correctly after installing the IPI-6000-IC module, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

• No Ignition/Pilot Not Lighting:
  • Ensure the module is receiving the correct 3V input.
  • Check all wiring connections for tightness and correct placement according to the diagrams (Figures 5 and 6).
  • Verify that the gas supply to the fireplace is open.
  • Inspect the pilot assembly for any obstructions or damage.
• Pilot Lights, but Main Burner Does Not Ignite:
  • Confirm that the thermocouple or thermopile is correctly positioned and functioning.
  • Check the main gas valve for proper operation.
• Intermittent Operation:
  • Inspect for loose wiring connections or intermittent power supply.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the module and pilot assembly.
