1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective use of your Starlight UV Flashlight. This rechargeable UV light is designed to activate UV-sensitive paper for creative projects such as sun printing and cyanotype alternatives. 3. Safety Information

Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the product:

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Flashlight

1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the flashlight.
2. Connect the small end of the USB-C charging cord to the flashlight's port.
3. Connect the standard USB-A end of the cord to a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter, power bank).
4. The indicator light on the flashlight will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
5. A full charge typically takes approximately 2-3 hours.

5. Operating Instructions

The Starlight UV Flashlight is designed for use with UV-sensitive paper to create unique art and craft projects.

5.1 Basic Operation

1. To turn the flashlight on, press the power button located on the end of the flashlight.
2. To turn the flashlight off, press the power button again.

5.2 Creating UV Art with UV-Sensitive Paper

Follow these steps to create art using your Starlight UV Flashlight and UV-sensitive paper (sold separately):

1. Prepare your workspace: Ensure you are in a dimly lit area or indoors to prevent premature activation of the UV-sensitive paper by ambient light.
2. Place the paper: Lay a sheet of UV-sensitive paper on a flat surface.
3. Arrange objects: Place objects, stencils, or natural items (e.g., leaves, flowers) onto the UV-sensitive paper. These items will block the UV light, creating a pattern.
4. Activate with UV light: Turn on your Starlight UV Flashlight. Hold the flashlight approximately 1-3 inches above the paper and slowly move it over the areas you wish to expose. The paper will begin to change color (typically blue) where the UV light hits it.
5. Experiment with exposure: Vary the distance and duration of exposure to create different shades and effects. Areas covered by objects will remain unexposed, creating a contrast.
6. Reveal your art: Once satisfied with the exposure, remove the objects. Your UV art is complete!

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe the flashlight with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the flashlight in water.

6.2 Storage

Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For long-term storage, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.
