Product Overview
The Minolta MNX5K1 features a compact design with dual LCD screens for versatile shooting. The main 2.0-inch rear LCD allows for shot composition and review, while the 1.3-inch front LCD is ideal for framing selfies and vlogs.

Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera.
- Slide the latch to open the compartment cover.
- Insert the included Lithium Ion battery, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
- Close the compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.
2. Memory Card Installation
The camera supports MicroSD cards. A 32GB memory card is included.
- Locate the MicroSD card slot on the side of the camera.
- Insert the MicroSD card with the gold contacts facing the back of the camera until it clicks into place.
- To remove, gently push the card in until it springs out.
3. Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the battery.
- Connect the camera to the AC adaptor using the provided USB cable.
- Plug the AC adaptor into a power outlet.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate. It will turn off or change color when charging is complete.
4. Using the Waterproof Case
The included waterproof housing allows the camera to be submerged up to 100 ft (30 meters).

- Ensure the camera is clean and dry before placing it inside the case.
- Open the latch on the waterproof case and gently insert the camera.
- Close the latch firmly to ensure a watertight seal.
- Before first use in water, perform a leak test by placing the empty case in water for 30 minutes.
- After each use, rinse the case with fresh water and allow it to air dry.
5. Attaching Mounts and Accessories
The kit includes various mounts for different activities. Refer to the specific mount instructions for proper attachment to helmets, handlebars, or other surfaces.
Operating the Camera
1. Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for a few seconds until the screen illuminates.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button again until the screen turns off.
2. Navigating Menus and Modes
- Change Mode: Briefly press the Power/Mode button to cycle through Video, Photo, Playback, and Settings modes.
- Navigate Menus: Use the Up/Down buttons to scroll through options.
- Select/Confirm: Press the Shutter/OK button to select an option or confirm a setting.
3. Recording Video
The MNX5K1 supports 5K Ultra HD at 30FPS, 4K HD at 60FPS, and 1080P at 120FPS.
- Switch to Video Mode using the Power/Mode button.
- Press the Shutter/OK button to start recording. A red indicator light will flash, and a timer will appear on the screen.
- Press the Shutter/OK button again to stop recording.
4. Taking Photos
Capture high-resolution 24.0MP still images.
- Switch to Photo Mode using the Power/Mode button.
- Frame your shot using the LCD screen.
- Press the Shutter/OK button to take a photo.
5. Using the Remote Control
The included remote control allows for convenient operation from a distance.
- Ensure the remote control battery is installed.
- Press the video icon button on the remote to start/stop video recording.
- Press the photo icon button on the remote to take a still photo.
6. Wi-Fi Connectivity and App Integration
Connect your MNX5K1 to your smartphone via Wi-Fi for remote control, live view, and file transfer.
- Download the official Minolta action camera app from your smartphone's app store.
- On the camera, navigate to the settings menu and enable Wi-Fi. The camera's Wi-Fi name and password will be displayed.
- On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the camera's Wi-Fi network.
- Open the Minolta app. You should now be able to control the camera, view live footage, and access recorded content.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Camera and Case
