4. Setup & Installation

- Step 1: Verify Installation Requirements. Ensure your stairs or doorway meet the necessary dimensions and wall types. The gate extends from 29.7 to 46.5 inches wide. The hinges on both sides must be installed on the same vertical plane.
- Step 2: Confirm All Included Parts. Refer to the 'Package Contents' section to ensure you have all necessary components.
- Step 3: Select Proper Accessories. Choose appropriate tools for wood mounting (6mm drill, screwdriver, nails) or sturdy wall mounting (6mm drill, screwdriver, wall anchors).
- Step 4: Paste the Template on the Wall. Position the provided template on the wall where the gate will be installed, ensuring it is at a 90-degree angle to the floor.
- Step 5: Punch Holes. Using a 6mm drill bit, carefully drill holes according to the markings on the template.
- Step 6: Secure the Connecting Rod. Attach the gate's connecting rod to the drilled holes using screws. Ensure the gate is in the open position during this step.
- Step 7: Unscrew E-latches and Extend Gate. Unscrew the four E-latches (two on top, two on bottom) and extend the gate frame to reach the opposite wall.
- Step 8: Determine Latch Position. With the gate extended, determine the sticking position for the upper and lower latches on the opposite wall.
- Step 9: Paste Latches to Wall. Securely paste the upper and lower latches to the wall at the determined positions.
- Step 10: Adjust Gate Width. Adjust the width of the gate again using the E-buckles to ensure a snug fit.
- Step 11: Lock E-latches. Lock the E-latches when the distance between the gate handle and the upper latch is less than 0.078 inches (2mm).
- Step 12: Install Latches. Open the gate and install the upper and lower latches securely with screws.

5. Operating Instructions
Opening the Gate:
- To open the gate, lift the handle and push the gate in either direction.
- The dual-locking system ensures secure closure.
Auto-Close & Stay-Open Features:
- Auto-Close: If the gate is opened less than 90 degrees, it will automatically and softly close behind you.
- Stay-Open: If the gate is opened to 90 degrees or more, it will remain open for convenient, continuous passage.
