4. Setup and Installation

The D52-2066 meter is designed for DIN-Rail mounting. Ensure all power is disconnected before installation to prevent electrical shock.

4.1 Safety Precautions

  • Installation should only be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Always disconnect power to the circuit before installing or removing the device.
  • Ensure proper wiring according to local electrical codes and the provided wiring diagram.
  • Do not operate the device in environments exceeding its specified temperature and humidity ranges.

4.2 Wiring Diagram

The meter typically requires connection to the AC power supply and the load. The current measurement is performed via an internal current transformer (CT) or by passing the load wire through the designated current sensing port.

  1. Mount the D52-2066 meter onto a standard DIN-Rail within your electrical panel.
  2. Connect the AC input voltage to terminals 1 and 2 (refer to the diagram on the device for specific L/N markings).
  3. For current measurement, pass the live wire of the load circuit through the designated current sensing hole (often labeled with an arrow or 'CT'). Ensure the direction of current flow matches any indicated markings for accurate readings.
  4. Secure all wire connections firmly to prevent loose contacts.
  5. Once wiring is complete, restore power to the circuit. The meter's LCD display should illuminate and begin showing readings.

5. Operating Instructions

Upon successful installation and power-up, the D52-2066 meter will automatically display various electrical parameters on its colorful LCD screen.

5.1 Display Readings

The LCD display shows the following parameters simultaneously:

  • Voltage (V): Real-time AC voltage.
  • Current (A): Real-time AC current.
  • Active Power (W): Real-time active power consumption.
  • Frequency (Hz): Power line frequency.
  • Electric Energy (kWh): Accumulated total electric energy consumption.
  • Power Factor (PF): Power factor of the load.

6. Maintenance

The RWRAPS D52-2066 meter is designed for low maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure its longevity and accurate operation:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the display and casing. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water.
  • Environment: Ensure the operating environment is within the specified temperature and humidity ranges. Avoid direct sunlight, excessive dust, and corrosive gases.
  • Connections: Periodically check wire connections to ensure they remain secure. Loose connections can lead to inaccurate readings or device malfunction.
  • Inspection: Visually inspect the device for any signs of physical damage or overheating.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your D52-2066 meter, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Display is blank or not lighting up.No power supply to the meter; incorrect wiring; internal fault.
  • Verify that the AC power supply is connected correctly to terminals 1 and 2 and that power is active.
  • Check all wiring connections for looseness or errors.
  • If power is confirmed and wiring is correct, the device may be faulty. Contact support.
Voltage and Current readings are zero or incorrect. No load connected; incorrect current sensing wire routing; faulty CT.
  • Ensure a load is connected and drawing current.
  • Verify that the live wire of the load circuit is correctly passed through the current sensing hole.
  • Check if the current sensing direction is correct (if applicable).
kWh reading is not accumulating. No active power consumption; meter internal issue.
  • Confirm that active power (W) is being displayed and is not zero.
  • Ensure the meter is correctly wired and receiving current.
  • If other readings are correct but kWh is not accumulating, contact support.
"RESET" button does not work.Button not held long enough; internal button malfunction.
  • Press and hold the "RESET" button for at least 5 seconds.
  • If it still doesn't respond, there might be a button malfunction. Contact support.
