1. Introduction

The KLIM K2 Mobile Film Scanner is designed to help you digitally preserve your precious analog film and slides. 3. Setup and Operation

Follow these simple steps to set up and operate your KLIM K2 Mobile Film Scanner:

1. Unfold the K2 Film Scanner:

2. Turn on the LED Light:

3. Insert Your Film or Slides:

4. Place Your Phone on Top:

   Place your smartphone on the top platform of the scanner, ensuring its camera is aligned with the opening to capture the film/slide. Use the magnetic plate if your phone is larger for better stability.

5. Download and Use the KLIM Film Scanner App:

   Download the free KLIM Film Scanner app from your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). Launch the app and follow the on-screen instructions to scan, convert, and save your digitized memories.

4. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning cloth to gently wipe the film/slide slot and the LED light area to ensure no dust or debris interferes with scanning quality. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the device.
• Battery Replacement: The scanner uses 2 AA batteries. Replace them when the LED light dims or fails to turn on. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
• Storage: When not in use, fold the scanner for compact storage. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

5. Troubleshooting

• Poor Scan Quality / Blurry Images:
  • Ensure the film or slide is clean and free of dust. Use the cleaning cloth.
  • Verify your smartphone camera lens is clean.
  • Check if your phone is properly aligned on the scanner's top platform.

  • Important Note on Phone Focal Length: Certain mobile phones may require a closer distance between the camera and the film due to their specific focal length. If you experience blurriness or difficulty focusing, try using the provided shorter brackets for easy installation. These brackets help adjust the phone's position to achieve the best scan.

• LED Light Not Turning On:
  • Check if the power switch is in the "ON" position.
  • Ensure the 2 AA batteries are correctly inserted with the proper polarity.
  • Replace the batteries if they are depleted.
• App Issues:
  • Ensure you have downloaded the official "KLIM Film Scanner" app.
  • Check your phone's internet connection for app updates.
  • Restart the app or your smartphone if it freezes or crashes.
