Introduction

The KLIM K2 Mobile Photo Digitizer is designed to convert 35mm analog film and slides into digital format using your smartphone. This device provides a convenient and accessible method for preserving your photographic memories.

What's Included

Setup

  1. Unfold the K2 Film Scanner: Gently unfold the device from its compact form to its operational upright position.

  2. Install Batteries and Turn on LED Light: Open the battery compartment and insert the two AA batteries provided. Locate the ON/OFF switch and slide it to the 'ON' position to activate the internal LED light source.

  3. Download the KLIM Film Scanner App: Search for "KLIM Film Scanner" in your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and install the free application. This app is essential for capturing and processing your scans.

Operating Instructions

The KLIM K2 supports both 35mm film negatives (black & white and color) and 35mm slides.

Scanning Film Negatives or Slides:

  1. Insert Film or Slides: Carefully insert your 35mm film strip into the designated slot on the scanner's base. For slides, place them into the slide holder. Ensure the film or slide is flat and centered over the light source.

  2. Place Smartphone: Position your smartphone on the top platform of the scanner, ensuring its camera lens is aligned directly above the film/slide opening. Use the magnetic plate if your phone is larger for better stability. If your phone struggles with focus, try using the shorter brackets provided.

  3. Launch App and Scan: Open the KLIM Film Scanner app. Follow the on-screen instructions to capture the image. The app will guide you through adjusting settings (if necessary) and converting negatives to positives or enhancing colors.

  4. Save and Share: Once scanned and processed, save the digital image to your phone's gallery. You can then share these digitized memories as desired.

Troubleshooting
