2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup and Installation
The Adamson A9000 is designed for easy installation. Follow these steps for optimal performance:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the unit and all accessories from the packaging. Keep the unit upright as indicated on the packaging.
- Positioning: Place the air conditioner on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of space around the unit for proper airflow.
- Exhaust Hose Installation:
- Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the air outlet on the back of the unit.
- Extend the hose to the nearest window.
- Window Seal Kit Installation (for sliding windows):
- Open your sliding window (horizontally or vertically).
- Install the window seal kit according to the instructions provided with the kit, ensuring a tight seal to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.
- Insert the other end of the exhaust hose into the opening of the window seal kit.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 2.3E+2 Volts (AC) electrical outlet.
Note: If you have casement windows, a specific KLIM AC window seal (available separately on Amazon) is recommended for proper installation.
5. Operating Instructions
The Adamson A9000 offers three primary operating modes: Cooling, Fan, and Dehumidifier.
5.1 Control Panel and Remote Control
The unit can be operated via the control panel on top of the unit or the included digital display remote control. The remote control allows for convenient operation from a distance.
- Power Button: Turns the unit ON/OFF.
- Mode Button: Cycles through Cooling, Fan, and Dehumidifier modes.
- Temperature Up/Down Buttons: Adjusts the desired temperature in Cooling mode (down to 16°C).
- Fan Speed Button: Adjusts fan speed (Low, Medium, High).
- Timer Button: Sets the auto ON/OFF timer.
- Sleep Mode Button: Activates quiet operation for nighttime use.
5.2 Operating Modes
Cooling Mode
This mode provides powerful cooling for rooms up to 20 m² (80 m³).
- Press the Power button to turn on the unit.
- Press the Mode button until "Cool" or a snowflake icon is displayed.
- Use the Temperature Up/Down buttons to set your desired temperature. The unit can cool down to 16°C.
- Adjust the Fan Speed as needed.
Fan Mode
Circulates air without cooling, ideal for light breezes.
- Press the Mode button until "Fan" or a fan icon is displayed.
- Adjust the Fan Speed (Low, Medium, High) to your preference.
Dehumidifier Mode
Reduces excess moisture in the air, improving comfort and preventing mold growth.
- Press the Mode button until "Dry" or a water drop icon is displayed.
- The unit will automatically operate to remove moisture. No temperature setting is available in this mode.
- The A9000 features a self-evaporation function in cooling mode, reducing the need for manual draining. However, in high humidity conditions or extended dehumidifier mode use, you may need to drain accumulated water from the drainage port. Refer to the maintenance section for details.
Sleep Mode
For quiet operation during rest periods.
- Activate Sleep Mode by pressing the dedicated button on the remote control. The unit will operate at a lower fan speed and reduced noise level.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your Adamson A9000.
6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
- Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
- Locate and remove the air filter (usually at the back or side of the unit).
- Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or wash it gently with warm water and mild detergent.
- Rinse thoroughly and allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
6.2 Draining Water
While the unit has a self-evaporation function in cooling mode, manual draining may be necessary, especially in dehumidifier mode or high humidity environments.
- Turn off and unplug the unit.
- Place a shallow pan or tray under the drainage port (located at the bottom rear of the unit).
- Remove the drain plug. Water will begin to flow out.
- Once all water has drained, replace the drain plug securely.
6.3 Unit Cleaning and Storage
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- For long-term storage, ensure the unit is completely dry. Drain any remaining water.
- Store the unit in an upright position in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
