3. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the coffee machine and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
2. Placement: Place the machine on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the machine.
3. Water Tank: Remove the water tank, rinse it with fresh water, and fill it up to the MAX mark with fresh, cold drinking water. Place the water tank back onto the machine.
4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet.
5. First Use / Rinsing: Before first use, perform a rinsing cycle without a capsule.
   • Place a cup under the coffee spout.
   • Press any coffee preparation button (e.g., Caffè Crema button).
   • The machine will heat up and then dispense hot water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure the system is clean.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Preparing Coffee

1. Fill Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh water.
2. Insert Capsule: Open the capsule compartment lever and insert a Tchibo Cafissimo capsule. Close the lever firmly.
3. Place Cup: Position a cup on the drip tray under the coffee spout. For larger cups, the drip tray can be removed.
4. Select Coffee Type: Press the desired button for your coffee:
   • Espresso: Approximately 40 ml.
   • Caffè Crema: Approximately 125 ml.
   • Coffee: Approximately 125 ml.
5. Brewing: The machine will automatically brew the coffee. The brewing process stops automatically once the pre-set amount is reached.
6. Eject Capsule: After brewing, open the capsule compartment lever to eject the used capsule into the collection container. Close the lever.

4.2 Programming Beverage Quantity

You can customize the beverage quantity for each coffee type (30 - 250 ml).

1. Ensure the machine is ready for operation.
2. Insert a capsule and place a cup.
3. Press and hold the button for the coffee type you wish to program.
4. Release the button when the desired amount of coffee has been dispensed into the cup. The new quantity is now saved for that coffee type.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your machine.

5.1 Daily Cleaning

• Drip Tray and Capsule Container: Empty and clean the drip tray and the used capsule collection container daily. Rinse them with warm water.
• Water Tank: Rinse the water tank daily and refill with fresh water.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
