1. Safety Information

1.1 General Safety Warnings

3. Setup & Assembly

3.1 Preparation

• Site Selection: Choose a level, well-drained area for your greenhouse. Consider sun exposure and protection from strong winds.
• Tools Required: You will need a screwdriver (Phillips head recommended), a wrench or socket set, and potentially a rubber mallet.
• Unpacking: Carefully unpack all boxes. Components are typically numbered; organize them according to these labels for easier assembly.

3.2 Frame Assembly

Begin by assembling the base frame, followed by the vertical supports and roof structure. Ensure all connections are secure but do not fully tighten bolts until the entire frame is aligned.

3.3 Panel Installation

The polycarbonate panels slide into designated channels within the aluminum frame. Ensure the UV-protected side of the panels faces outwards to maximize durability and plant protection.

3.4 Door and Vent Installation

Install the sliding door onto its track, ensuring smooth operation. Attach the rooftop vent according to the instructions, verifying that it opens and closes freely for proper ventilation.

3.5 Anchoring the Greenhouse

Utilize the provided ground bolts to secure the galvanized steel base to the ground. This step is crucial for stability, especially in windy conditions.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Ventilation

The rooftop vent allows for controlled air circulation. Open the vent to release excess heat and humidity, and close it to retain warmth. Adjust based on external temperature and plant requirements.

4.2 Access

The sliding door provides convenient access to the greenhouse interior. It can be opened to allow entry for tending to plants or to increase airflow.

4.3 Water Collection

The integrated rain gutters are designed to collect rainwater. Position a suitable container beneath the gutter outlets to collect water for irrigation.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Regularly clean the polycarbonate panels with mild soap and water to maintain light transmission. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Fastener Check: Periodically inspect all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain structural integrity.
• Panel Integrity: Check panels for any signs of damage or loosening. Ensure they are securely seated in their channels to prevent leaks and drafts.
• Winterization: In areas with heavy snow or extreme cold, consider reinforcing the roof or temporarily removing panels to prevent damage from snow load. Ensure proper sealing to minimize heat loss.
• Gutter Maintenance: Keep rain gutters clear of debris to ensure proper water flow.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Common Issues and Solutions

• Wobbly Frame: If the frame feels unstable after initial assembly, ensure all bolts are tightened. The structure gains significant rigidity once all panels are installed.
• Panels Not Fitting: Double-check that all frame components are correctly oriented and assembled according to the instructions. Sometimes, slight adjustments to frame alignment are needed before panels can slide in smoothly. Ensure the protective film is removed from both sides of the panels.
• Leaks: Inspect all panel edges and frame joints for gaps. Applying weather stripping or silicone sealant to problematic areas can help prevent leaks. Ensure rain gutters are properly installed and clear.
• Difficulty with Sliding Door: Ensure the door track is clean and free of obstructions. Lubricating the track with a silicone-based spray can improve sliding action.
