Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the appliance and all packaging materials. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly. The non-stick coating does not require seasoning.
  3. Placement: Place the walnut cake maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance. Keep it away from walls, curtains, and other heat-sensitive materials.
  4. Power Connection: Ensure the appliance is closed and the temperature control (if present) is set to the lowest setting. Plug the power cord into a standard 110V AC electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

  1. Preheating: Close the lid and plug in the appliance. The indicator light(s) will illuminate, typically an orange light indicating heating. Allow the maker to preheat for approximately 3-5 minutes. The green indicator light should illuminate when the desired temperature is reached, signaling it's ready for use. Note: The visibility of the green indicator light may vary.
  2. Adding Batter: Once preheated, carefully open the lid. Pour or spoon your prepared batter into each of the 24 molds on the bottom plate. Do not overfill, as the batter will expand during cooking.
  3. Cooking: Close the lid firmly. The orange indicator light may come back on as the appliance maintains temperature. Cook for approximately 3-7 minutes, or until the walnut cakes are golden brown and cooked through. Cooking time may vary based on batter consistency and desired crispness. If cakes are unevenly cooked, try adjusting the cooking time or ensuring even batter distribution.
  4. Removing Cakes: Once cooked, carefully open the lid. Use a heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensil to gently remove the walnut cakes from the non-stick plates. Avoid using metal utensils, which can damage the non-stick coating.
  5. Repeat: Close the lid to allow the appliance to reheat for a minute or two before adding the next batch of batter.
  6. Finishing: When finished cooking, unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning and storing.
