1. Introduction

The DDPAI N1 Dual Dash Cam is designed to capture your journeys and life moments with high-definition clarity. It simultaneously records both front road and rear/interior views, including audio, allowing you to document outdoor scenery and in-car experiences. Its advanced features ensure reliable recording and easy access to your footage.

3. Setup Guide

3.1. App Download & Connection

To fully utilize your DDPAI N1 Dual Dash Cam, download the official 'ddpai' app on your smartphone. This app allows for easy control, live viewing, and management of your recordings.

1. Download the App: Scan the QR code on the product packaging or search for "DDPAI" in your device's app store (Google Play for Android, App Store for iOS).
2. Power On Dash Cam: Connect the dash cam to your car's power source using the provided car charger. The dash cam will power on automatically.
3. Enable Bluetooth: On your smartphone, go to Settings and ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
4. Launch App & Add Device: Open the DDPAI app. Tap the "+" icon or "Add a device" option. The app will scan for nearby Bluetooth devices.
5. Select Device: From the list of detected Bluetooth devices, select the one corresponding to your dash cam (e.g., "DDPAI_N1Dual_XXXX").
6. Authorize Connection: When prompted, press the function button on the dash cam to authorize the connection.
7. Wi-Fi Connection: For full functionality (live view, album access, settings), the app will guide you to connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi hotspot. Go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings, select the DDPAI network (e.g., "DDPAI_N5Dual_3CA1"), and enter the password (usually provided in the app or manual).

3.2. Physical Installation

Proper installation ensures optimal recording angles and secure placement.

1. Mount the Front Camera: Attach the adhesive mount to the front dash cam. Clean the desired area on your windshield (typically behind the rearview mirror) and firmly press the mount onto the glass. Ensure the camera has a clear view of the road.
2. Mount the Rear/Interior Camera: Attach the adhesive mount to the rear camera. Clean the desired area on your rear windshield or interior surface. Ensure it has a clear view of the rear or interior of the vehicle.
3. Connect Cables: Connect the power cable to the front dash cam and route it to your car's 12V power outlet using the car charger. Connect the long connection cable from the front dash cam to the rear camera, routing it discreetly along the vehicle's trim.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Recording Modes

• Loop Recording: The N1 Dual continuously records video footage. When the memory card is full, it automatically overwrites the oldest footage, ensuring uninterrupted recording.
• Emergency Lock (G-sensor): The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. In such events, the dash cam automatically saves and locks the relevant video segment, preventing it from being overwritten. These files are marked as "important" for easy retrieval.
• 24-Hour Parking Monitoring: With an optional hardwire kit (ASIN: B0D12D7HSC or B0DBTLDKYD, sold separately), the dash cam can monitor your vehicle 24/7. It uses motion detection or impact sensors to start recording if any movement or impact is detected while parked.

4.2. App Control & Features

The 'ddpai' app provides comprehensive control over your dash cam.

• Live Preview: View real-time footage from both front and rear cameras directly on your smartphone.
• Video Playback & Download: Access recorded videos from the device album. You can play back footage, edit clips, and download them to your phone for easy sharing and storage.
• Device Settings: Adjust various settings such as recording resolution (1296P front, 1080P rear), microphone recording, timestamp, and capture sensitivity.
• AI.265 Encoding Technology: This advanced encoding saves over 30% of storage space compared to H.264, allowing for more footage to be stored on your TF card (up to 256GB, not included).

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your dash cam.

• Clean Lenses: Periodically clean the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality.
• Format SD Card: It is recommended to format the TF card every few weeks or months to prevent data corruption and ensure smooth recording. This can usually be done through the DDPAI app settings.
• Firmware Updates: Check the DDPAI app regularly for firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware up-to-date can improve performance and add new features.
• Operating Temperature: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods. The device is designed to operate within a range of -4°F to 158°F.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DDPAI N1 Dual Dash Cam, refer to the following common solutions:

• Dash Cam Not Powering On: Ensure the car charger is properly inserted into the 12V outlet and the power cable is securely connected to the dash cam. Check your vehicle's fuse box if necessary.
• App Connectivity Issues: Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the dash cam is powered on. Ensure you are connecting to the correct Wi-Fi network broadcast by the dash cam. Try restarting both the dash cam and your phone.
• "Storage Error" or Recording Issues: This often indicates an issue with the TF card. Ensure the card is properly inserted. Try formatting the TF card via the app. If the issue persists, try a different, high-quality TF card (supports up to 256GB).
• Poor Video Quality at Night: Ensure the lenses are clean. Verify that NightVIS technology is enabled in the app settings if applicable.
• G-sensor Not Triggering/Too Sensitive: Adjust the G-sensor sensitivity settings within the DDPAI app.
