It includes features such as a hold function for active subjects, a tare function for blankets, and a built-in measuring tape for height tracking. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper operation and care.

Safety Information

• Always place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate readings.
• Do not place the scale on soft surfaces like carpets or rugs.
• Never leave a baby or pet unattended on the scale.
• Keep the scale away from water and extreme temperatures.
• Clean the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.

Setup

1. Unpack the Scale: Carefully remove the scale and all components from the packaging.
2. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Insert the 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment securely.
3. Placement: Place the scale on a firm, flat, and level surface. Avoid soft surfaces like carpets, which can affect accuracy.

Operation

1. Power On and Zero Function (Tare)

1. Press the ZERO button to turn on the scale. The display will show "0.00".
2. If using a blanket or towel for comfort, place it on the scale before pressing the ZERO button. The scale will display the blanket's weight.
3. Press the ZERO button again to tare (zero out) the weight of the blanket. The display will return to "0.00".

2. Weighing a Baby or Pet

1. After taring (if applicable), gently place the baby or pet onto the center of the scale.
2. Wait for the display to stabilize. The weight will be shown on the large LCD screen.

3. Using the Hold Function

If the baby or pet is active and moving, the Hold function can capture a stable weight reading.

• While the subject is on the scale, press the HOLD/UNIT button.
• The display will lock onto a stable weight, even if the subject continues to move. This locked weight will remain on the display until the button is pressed again or the scale is turned off.

4. Changing Weight Units

The scale supports kg, oz, lb, and lb:oz units.

• With the scale on, press and hold the HOLD/UNIT button for approximately 3 seconds.
• The unit will cycle through kg, oz, lb, and lb:oz. Release the button when your desired unit is displayed.

5. Weight Difference Comparison

The scale automatically saves the previous weight reading and can display the difference from the current reading.

• After a weight measurement is taken, the scale will automatically compare it to the last recorded weight.
• The display will show the current weight, then briefly show the difference (e.g., "+0.08 lb" or "-0.05 kg") from the previous measurement.

6. Measuring Height with Built-in Tape

The scale includes a retractable 5ft/1.5m measuring tape for convenience.

1. Gently pull out the measuring tape from the side of the scale.
2. Measure the baby's height or head circumference as needed.
3. To retract the tape, press the yellow button located on the back of the scale. The tape will automatically rewind.

Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: Wipe the scale surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use chemical cleaning agents, abrasive materials, or immerse the scale in water.
• Storage: Store the scale in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Replacement: If the display shows a low battery indicator or becomes dim, replace all 4 AAA batteries with new ones.
• Avoid Impact: Do not drop the scale or subject it to heavy impact, as this can damage the sensors.
