- After Use:
- Press the power button to turn off the steamer.
- Unplug the steamer from the electrical outlet.
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely before emptying the water tank and storing.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Livoo DOM479 steamer.
- Empty Water Tank: After each use, once the steamer has cooled, remove the water tank and empty any remaining water. This prevents mineral buildup.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the steamer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Clean Steam Nozzle: If mineral deposits appear around the steam nozzle, gently wipe them away with a cotton swab dipped in white vinegar. Rinse with a damp cloth.
- Descaling (Monthly or as needed):
- Mix a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% distilled water.
- Pour the solution into the water tank.
- Plug in the steamer and allow it to heat up.
- Run the steamer until half of the solution has been used, directing steam into a sink or basin.
- Turn off, unplug, and let it cool for 30 minutes.
- Repeat the steaming process with the remaining solution.
- Empty the tank and rinse thoroughly with fresh distilled water. Run a full tank of fresh distilled water through the steamer to flush out any vinegar residue.
- Storage: Store the steamer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Ensure the water tank is empty and the steamer is completely cool before storing.
