Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the QFX R-333BT. This versatile device combines a 3-band (AM/FM/SW) radio with Bluetooth audio capabilities, a built-in flashlight, and dynamic disco floodlights. It supports playback from USB/TF storage and external audio devices via its AUX input. Designed for portability, it features a telescoping antenna and a carrying handle, and can be powered by AC, internal rechargeable batteries, external 6VDC, or 4 x D alkaline batteries.

Front Panel Controls:

Setup

Powering the Unit:

The QFX R-333BT offers multiple power options:

1. AC Power: Connect the included AC power cable to the AC input on the unit and plug the other end into a standard wall outlet. The internal rechargeable battery will also charge when connected to AC power.
2. Internal Rechargeable Battery: The unit has a built-in rechargeable battery. Ensure it is fully charged before first use for optimal performance. Charging occurs automatically when connected to AC power.
3. External DC 6V Power: You can connect an external 6V DC power adapter (not included) to the DC 6V input jack.
4. D Alkaline Batteries: For portable use without AC power, open the battery compartment on the rear of the unit and insert 4 x 'D' size alkaline batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity.

Antenna Setup:

For optimal radio reception, fully extend the telescoping antenna when listening to FM or SW bands. For AM reception, the unit uses an internal antenna, and antenna extension is not typically required.

Operating Instructions

Turning On/Off and Volume:

Rotate the OFF/VOLUME knob clockwise to turn the unit on and increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and turn the unit off.

Radio Operation (AM/FM/SW):

1. Turn on the unit using the OFF/VOLUME knob.
2. Slide the Band Selector Switch to select your desired band: FM, AM, or SW.
3. Extend the telescoping antenna for FM/SW reception.
4. Rotate the TUNING knob to scan for radio stations. The frequency dial will indicate the current frequency.
5. Adjust the VOLUME knob to your preferred listening level.

Bluetooth Pairing:

1. Turn on the unit.
2. Press the MODE button repeatedly until "Bluetooth" mode is selected (you may hear an audible prompt). The unit will enter pairing mode.
3. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
4. Select "QFX R-333BT" from the list of found devices.
5. Once paired, you will hear a confirmation sound. You can now play audio from your device wirelessly through the radio.
6. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, PREV, and NEXT buttons on the radio or your connected device to control playback.

USB/TF Card Playback:

1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB Port or a TF (MicroSD) card into the TF Card Slot.
2. The unit should automatically switch to USB/TF mode and begin playing compatible audio files. If not, press the MODE button to select the correct mode.
3. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, PREV, and NEXT buttons to control playback.
4. Press the REPEAT button to cycle through repeat modes (e.g., repeat one, repeat all).

AUX Input:

1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX Input using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
2. Press the MODE button to select "AUX" mode.
3. Play audio from your connected device. Volume can be controlled via the radio's VOLUME knob and/or the connected device.

Flashlight and Floodlight Operation:

• The flashlight is located on the side of the unit. It can be activated by a dedicated switch (refer to physical unit for exact switch location, typically a toggle or button near the light).
• The front-facing floodlights are typically activated by a separate switch or button.
• These lights can be used independently of the radio functions.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
• Battery Care: If using D alkaline batteries, remove them if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage. For the internal rechargeable battery, fully charge it periodically even if not in use to maintain battery health.
• Storage: Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Antenna: Handle the telescoping antenna carefully to avoid bending or breaking. Retract it when not in use.
