1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your CL Coach 520RV17BB 17-inch 3-Burner LP Gas Range. Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.

2. Safety Information

  • Never use the appliance for space heating.
  • Turn off the gas supply at the source if a gas leak is suspected. Do not operate electrical switches or phones. Evacuate the area and contact emergency services.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the range from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Report any damage immediately to the carrier and your dealer.

3.2 Location Requirements

The range must be installed in a location that allows for proper ventilation and access for servicing. Ensure sufficient clearance from combustible materials.

3.3 Gas Connection

This appliance is designed for use with LP (Liquid Propane) gas only. The gas connection must be performed by a qualified technician in accordance with local codes and regulations. Ensure all connections are leak-tested before use.

3.4 Electrical Connection

The range requires a 12V DC electrical supply for the piezo ignition and oven light. Ensure the electrical connection is properly fused and grounded.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Surface Burner Operation

  1. Ensure the glass cooktop cover is fully open or removed before operating burners.
  2. Push in and turn the desired burner knob counter-clockwise to the "HI" position.
  3. While holding the knob in, press the "IGNITER" button repeatedly until the burner ignites.
  4. Once ignited, continue to hold the knob in for a few seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up. Release the knob.
  5. Adjust the flame size by turning the knob between "HI" and "LO" settings.
  6. To turn off, turn the knob clockwise to the "OFF" position.

The range features a Center Burner with 8000 BTU and Right/Left Rear Burners with 6500 BTU each.

4.2 Oven Operation

  1. Open the oven door.
  2. Push in and turn the oven knob counter-clockwise to the desired temperature setting (e.g., 320°F, 350°F, 400°F).
  3. While holding the knob in, use a long lighter or match to ignite the pilot light located at the bottom of the oven.
  4. Once ignited, continue to hold the knob in for a few seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up. Release the knob.
  5. Close the oven door. The oven will heat to the selected temperature.
  6. To turn off, turn the oven knob clockwise to the "OFF" position.

The oven has a Bake Power of 7100 BTU.

4.3 Oven Light

Press the "LIGHTS" switch located on the control panel to turn the interior oven light on or off.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

5.1 General Cleaning

Allow the range to cool completely before cleaning. Use mild soap and water with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that can scratch surfaces.

5.2 Cooktop Cleaning

The glass cooktop cover can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive glass cleaner.

5.3 Burner Maintenance

Periodically check burner ports for blockages. Clean with a soft brush if necessary. Ensure burner caps are properly seated after cleaning.

5.4 Oven Interior

Wipe the oven interior with a damp cloth after each use. For baked-on spills, use an oven cleaner specifically designed for gas ovens, following the product instructions carefully.

6. Troubleshooting
