  • Universal Coupling: For connecting air tools and hoses.
  • Handle: For easy portability.
  • Manometer (Pressure Gauge): Displays the tank pressure.
  • Pressure Regulator: Adjusts the output air pressure.
  • Condensate Drain: For draining moisture from the tank.
  • Inflation Gun: Included accessory for various inflation tasks.

3.2 Initial Setup

  1. Place the compressor on a stable, level surface. The rubber feet ensure stability.
  2. Ensure the power switch is in the 'OFF' position.
  3. Connect the spiral hose to the universal air outlet on the compressor.
  4. Attach the inflation gun or desired nozzle to the other end of the spiral hose.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On and Pressure Adjustment

  1. Plug the power cord into a suitable 240V electrical outlet.
  2. Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position. The compressor will begin to fill the tank with air.
  3. Monitor the pressure gauge (manometer) until the desired pressure is reached, or the compressor automatically stops at its maximum pressure (8 bar).
  4. Adjust the output air pressure using the pressure regulator knob. Turn clockwise to increase pressure, counter-clockwise to decrease.

4.2 Applications

The Michelin MBL6 is versatile and can be used for various tasks:

  • Inflating: Use the inflation gun and appropriate nozzle for tires, sports equipment, and other inflatables.
  • Blowing: Ideal for cleaning dust and debris from workspaces or equipment.
  • Airbrushing: Provides consistent airflow for painting and detailing tasks.
  • Nailing: Can power pneumatic nail guns for light to medium duty tasks.

Always ensure the air tool connected is compatible with the compressor's pressure and airflow capabilities.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your compressor.

5.1 Condensate Drain

Moisture accumulates in the air tank during operation. To prevent rust and ensure air quality, drain the condensate regularly, especially after each use or at least weekly, depending on humidity and usage frequency.

  1. Ensure the compressor is turned off and unplugged.
  2. Place a suitable container under the condensate drain valve located at the bottom of the tank.
  3. Slowly open the drain valve to release air and moisture.
  4. Close the valve once all moisture has been expelled.

5.2 Oil-Free Operation

The Michelin MBL6 is an oil-free compressor, which means it does not require oil changes or lubrication of the pump. This simplifies maintenance and provides cleaner air output.

5.3 General Cleaning

Keep the compressor clean and free of dust and debris. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

6. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Compressor does not start. No power supply; Power switch off; Thermal overload activated.Check power connection; Turn power switch ON; Allow compressor to cool down, then restart.
Low air pressure or slow recovery.Air leaks in hose/connections; Pressure regulator set too low; Excessive air consumption.Check all connections for leaks; Adjust pressure regulator; Use appropriate tool for task, or allow compressor to recover.
Excessive noise or vibration.Loose components; Compressor not on a stable surface.Check and tighten any loose parts; Ensure compressor is on a firm, level surface.
Moisture in air output.Condensate not drained from tank.Drain condensate from the tank (refer to Section 5.1).
