Setup and First Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the kettle and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or disposal.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water to the MAX level. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
  3. Placement: Place the power base on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

  1. Filling the Kettle:
    • Press the lid release button to open the lid.
    • Fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below the MIN (0.5L) mark or above the MAX (1.7L) mark. Overfilling may cause boiling water to spill out.
    • Close the lid firmly until it clicks into place.
  2. Placing on Base: Place the kettle securely onto the power base. The 360-degree rotational base allows for easy placement from any angle.
  3. Boiling Water:
    • Ensure the kettle is properly seated on the base and plugged into a power outlet.
    • Press the power switch down to the "I" (ON) position. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the kettle is heating.
    • The kettle will automatically switch off and the indicator light will extinguish once the water has boiled.
  4. Pouring Water: Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water. Always pour slowly and steadily to avoid splashing.
  5. Re-boiling: If the kettle has just boiled, allow a few moments for the internal thermostat to reset before attempting to re-boil.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your kettle.

  1. Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the kettle or its base in water or any other liquid.
  3. Interior Cleaning (Descaling): Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas.
    • Fill the kettle with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water.
    • Boil the mixture and let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy scale.
    • Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times.
    • For stubborn deposits, a commercial descaling agent designed for kettles can be used following the product's instructions.
  4. Filter Cleaning: The removable filter in the spout can be gently rinsed under running water. If heavily scaled, it can be soaked in the vinegar solution used for descaling the kettle. Ensure it is properly re-inserted after cleaning.
