  1. Gently slide the main unit upwards from its mounting plate to detach it.
  2. Open the battery cover on the back of the main unit.
  3. Remove the old AAA batteries and insert new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the battery cover and reattach the main unit to its mounting plate.

Troubleshooting

  • Alarm not sounding:
    • Check if the alarm is switched to "OFF". Slide the switch to "CHIME" or "ALARM".
    • Ensure the main unit and magnetic sensor are within 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) when the door is closed.
    • Verify that the triangular mark on the main unit aligns with the magnetic sensor.
    • Replace batteries if the low battery warning is active or if the alarm is unresponsive.
  • False alarms:
    • Re-check the alignment and distance between the main unit and the magnetic sensor. A gap larger than 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) when closed can cause false triggers.
    • Ensure the mounting surface is stable and not subject to vibrations that might cause the units to shift.
  • Volume too low/high:
    • Use the volume button to adjust to your desired level (0dB to 120dB).
