- Temperature: Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for extended periods, as this can damage internal components.
- Storage: If storing the device for a long time, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.
- Cables: Handle all cables and connectors with care to prevent damage. Do not pull on the cables to disconnect.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Miroir Drivvplay, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
6.1 No Power / Device Not Turning On
- Check Power Connection: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to the Drivvplay unit and the car adapter is firmly plugged into the 12V cigarette lighter socket.
- Verify Car Adapter: Test the car adapter in another vehicle or with another compatible device to ensure it's functioning correctly.
- Check Vehicle's Power Socket: Ensure your car's 12V socket is active. Some vehicles require the ignition to be on.
6.2 Cannot Connect to CarPlay / Android Auto Wirelessly
- Bluetooth Pairing: Confirm that your smartphone is successfully paired with the Drivvplay via Bluetooth (refer to Section 3.3).
- Forget Device: On your smartphone, "forget" the Drivvplay from your Bluetooth settings and attempt to re-pair.
- Restart Devices: Restart both your smartphone and the Drivvplay unit.
- Wi-Fi Enabled: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your smartphone, as CarPlay/Android Auto often uses Wi-Fi for data transfer after the initial Bluetooth handshake.
6.3 No Audio Output or Poor Sound Quality
- Volume Levels: Check the volume levels on both the Drivvplay unit and your car's stereo.
- Audio Output Mode: Ensure the correct audio output mode is selected on the Drivvplay (Built-in Speaker, FM, or AUX).
- FM Transmission: If using FM, try a different, clearer FM frequency to avoid interference.
- AUX Connection: If using AUX, ensure the cable is fully inserted into both the Drivvplay and your car's AUX input. Verify your car stereo is set to AUX input.
6.4 Touchscreen Unresponsive
- Restart Device: Power off and then power on the Drivvplay unit.
- Clean Screen: Ensure the screen is clean and free of debris or moisture that might interfere with touch input.
