4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off Sequence

  1. Turn on the 2.4GHz 4CH RC Transmitter.
  2. Turn on the RC Crawler. The ESC will typically emit a series of beeps indicating successful power-up and battery cell count.
  3. After use, turn off the RC Crawler first, then the Transmitter.

4.2 Basic Controls

  • Steering Wheel (Transmitter): Controls left and right movement of the front wheels. The servo-on-axle steering system provides a large steering angle up to 45 degrees for precise maneuvering.
  • Throttle Trigger (Transmitter): Pull to move forward, push to brake/reverse. The Furitek Venom brushless motor and Lizard Pro brushless ESC with FOC technology provide smooth and powerful control.
  • Gear Shift (Transmitter): The 2-speed transmission allows shifting between high and low gears for different terrains and speeds. Refer to your transmitter's specific instructions for gear shift operation.

4.3 Advanced Features

  • 4-Wheel Drive (4WD): Provides superior traction and control on uneven and challenging surfaces.
  • Counter-Rotating Drive Shaft: This innovative feature reduces torque twist, enhancing stability and control during acceleration and climbing.
  • Bluetooth Connectivity: The built-in Bluetooth module allows fine-tuning of the ESC and motor parameters via a mobile app. Download the Furitek app from your device's app store for customization options.

  • Wipe down the body shell with a damp cloth.

5.2 Inspection

  • Regularly check all screws and fasteners for tightness.
  • Inspect the tires for wear and tear.
  • Check the oil-filled big bore shocks for leaks or damage.
  • Ensure the full metal gear drivetrain components are free from obstruction and damage.

5.3 Battery Care

  • Always store Lipo batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • Do not overcharge or over-discharge the battery.
  • If the battery is damaged, discontinue use immediately and dispose of it properly.

    • Verify transmitter batteries are fresh and correctly installed.
  • Loss of Control/Interference:
    • Ensure the transmitter and receiver are properly bound. Refer to the transmitter manual for binding instructions.
    • Operate the crawler within the specified range of the transmitter.
    • Avoid areas with strong electromagnetic interference.
  • Motor Not Responding:
    • Check all wiring connections between the ESC, motor, and receiver.
    • Ensure the throttle trim on the transmitter is centered.
    • If the motor is hot, allow it to cool down before resuming operation.
  • Steering Issues:
    • Check the steering servo connections and ensure it's functioning correctly.
