Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the proper use, maintenance, and care of your LS2 Stream II Full Face Motorcycle Helmet. The Stream II helmet features an aerodynamic Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA) shell, Advanced Rotational Energy Management Technology (AREM), and an integrated sun shield. It meets or exceeds ECE 22.06 and DOT FMVSS 218 safety standards.
Please read this manual thoroughly before using your helmet to ensure maximum safety and product longevity.
Setup and Fitment
1. Initial Inspection
Before first use, carefully inspect your helmet for any signs of damage from shipping. Ensure the main face shield and internal sun shield operate smoothly and are securely attached. Check all vents and the chin strap for proper function.
2. Sizing and Proper Fit
A properly fitting helmet is crucial for safety. Refer to the sizing chart below to determine your correct helmet size. The helmet should fit snugly around your head without causing pressure points. Your cheeks should be compressed, and the helmet should not move freely when you shake your head.

Image Description: A diagram illustrating how to measure head circumference for helmet sizing. It includes a table with adult sizes (XXS to 4X) and corresponding head circumferences in centimeters (e.g., XS: 53-54 cm, M: 57-58 cm, XL: 61-62 cm).
To measure your head circumference:
- Wrap a measuring tape around your head, just above your eyebrows.
- Note the measurement in centimeters.
- Compare this measurement to the sizing chart to find your recommended helmet size.
If you are between sizes, it is generally recommended to choose the smaller size for a snug fit, as helmet padding will compress slightly over time.
Operating Instructions
1. Wearing the Helmet
- Grasp the chin straps and pull the helmet over your head.
- Ensure the helmet sits level on your head, with the top edge of the eyeport just above your eyebrows.
- Fasten the chin strap securely. The strap should be tight enough that you cannot pull the helmet off your head when tilted forward or backward.
2. Main Face Shield Operation
The main face shield can be opened and closed using the tab located at the bottom center. It features multiple detent positions for varying levels of airflow. To remove or install the shield, refer to the quick-release mechanism instructions provided with your helmet (specific mechanism details may vary).
3. Internal Sun Shield Operation
The internal sun shield is operated by a slider mechanism, typically located on the left side of the helmet. Slide it down to deploy the sun shield for glare reduction and slide it up to retract it. This shield is intended for daytime use in bright conditions and should not be used at night or in low visibility.
4. Ventilation System
The Stream II helmet is equipped with dynamic, flow-through ventilation. Vents are located on the chin bar and top of the helmet. These can be opened or closed by sliding the respective controls to adjust airflow. Rear exhaust ports facilitate the removal of warm air from the helmet interior.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Helmet Shell
Clean the helmet shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the helmet's finish and materials. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
2. Cleaning the Visors
The main face shield and internal sun shield should be cleaned with warm water and a soft cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a helmet-specific visor cleaner. Do not use abrasive materials or household glass cleaners, as they can scratch or damage the visor coatings. Allow to air dry or gently blot with a microfiber cloth.
3. Interior Liner Care
The LS2 Stream II features a removable and washable comfort liner. Gently detach the cheek pads and headliner from the helmet. Hand wash them in cold water with mild soap or a specialized helmet interior cleaner. Allow them to air dry completely before re-installing. Ensure all components are dry to prevent mildew.
4. Storage
Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided helmet bag to protect it from scratches and dust. Do not store the helmet near chemicals or solvents.
Troubleshooting
- Excessive Wind Noise: Ensure all vents are closed if not needed. Check that the main face shield is fully closed and seated properly. Wind noise can also be influenced by motorcycle fairings and rider posture. Consider using earplugs for extended rides, especially at highway speeds.
- Visor Fogging: The main face shield is Pinlock ready (Pinlock insert sold separately). Installing a Pinlock anti-fog insert can significantly reduce fogging. Ensure proper ventilation by opening vents.
- Visor Not Seating Properly: Check for any debris around the visor mechanism. Ensure the visor is correctly installed according to the quick-release system instructions.
- Helmet Feels Too Tight/Loose: Refer to the sizing guide in the "Setup and Fitment" section. Helmet padding will break in slightly over time. If the helmet is excessively tight or loose, it may be the wrong size and should be replaced for safety.
