  5. Power On: Press the power button on the router. The indicator lights will illuminate as the device starts up. Wait for the 4G/LTE signal indicator to show a stable connection.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Connecting Devices via Wi-Fi

Once the router is powered on and has established a 4G LTE connection (indicated by a stable signal light), you can connect your Wi-Fi enabled devices.

  1. Find Network Name (SSID): On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), open the Wi-Fi settings. Look for the network name (SSID) of your CP102 router. This is typically printed on a label on the bottom or back of the router.
  2. Enter Password: Select the router's SSID and enter the Wi-Fi password (also found on the router's label).
  3. Connect: Confirm the connection. Your device should now be connected to the internet via the CP102 hotspot.

4.2 Connecting Devices via LAN Cable

For devices without Wi-Fi or for a more stable wired connection, use the provided network cable.

  1. Connect Cable: Plug one end of the network cable into one of the LAN ports on the rear of the CP102 router.
  2. Connect to Device: Plug the other end of the network cable into the Ethernet port of your computer, switch, or other network-enabled device.
  3. Verify Connection: The device should automatically detect the wired connection and gain internet access.

4.3 Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)

The CP102 supports WPS for easy connection of compatible devices without entering the Wi-Fi password.

  1. Activate WPS on Router: Press the WPS button on the CP102 router (refer to the device layout for exact location). The WPS indicator light will start blinking.
  2. Activate WPS on Device: Within two minutes, activate the WPS function on your client device (e.g., a Wi-Fi adapter, printer).
  3. Connection: The devices will automatically connect. The WPS indicator on the router will stop blinking once connected.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the router. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the router is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not block ventilation openings.
  • Environment: Avoid exposing the router to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, high humidity, or corrosive environments.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 No Internet Connection

  • Check SIM Card: Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated with a data plan.
  • Signal Strength: Verify the 4G/LTE signal indicator on the router. If the signal is weak or absent, try repositioning the router or adjusting the external antennas.
  • Power: Confirm the router is powered on and the power adapter is securely connected.
  • Restart: Try restarting the router by powering it off and then on again.

6.2 Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi

  • Wi-Fi Enabled: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your client device.
  • Correct Password: Double-check that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password (SSID and password are usually on a label on the router).
  • Distance: Move your device closer to the router to rule out range issues.
  • Router Status: Verify the Wi-Fi indicator light on the router is on.

6.3 Slow Internet Speed

  • Signal Strength: A weak 4G/LTE signal can lead to slow speeds. Improve signal by repositioning the router.
  • Network Congestion: High network traffic from your service provider or too many devices connected to the hotspot can reduce speeds.
  • Data Plan: Check if your SIM card's data plan has any speed limitations or if you have exceeded your data allowance.
