5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Fuel Type
This fire pit is designed for burning wood or burn pellets. Do not use gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, lighter fluid, or alcohol to start or rekindle a fire.
5.2 Lighting the Fire Pit
- Place a small amount of kindling (e.g., paper, small dry twigs) at the bottom of the fire pit, above the ash pan.
- Arrange small pieces of dry wood on top of the kindling. For optimal low-smoke performance, ensure wood is stacked below the top vents.
- Carefully light the kindling using a long match or lighter.
- Gradually add larger pieces of wood as the fire grows. Avoid overfilling the fire pit; ensure flames do not extend excessively above the rim.

5.3 Low Smoke Operation
The unique 360° airflow design of the OutVue fire pit facilitates a secondary burn, significantly reducing smoke. To maximize this effect:
- Use only dry, seasoned wood. Wet or green wood produces more smoke.
- Do not stack wood above the top vents of the fire pit. This allows for proper airflow and secondary combustion.
- Allow the fire to establish a strong burn before adding more fuel.
